You won't believe how many OS X themes/skins are available for windows...boy, are those Gates-ified zombies lusty.

You are right...Karelia did copy Sherlock, but then eclipsed Sherlock, and then Apple, not wanting to be killed by a child that it had spawned, made Sherlock 3. An integrated version of VPC would be nice. Have a litte toggle on the menu bar that swi…

Hmmm...I wonder what will be changed in 10.3? Maybe Apple will steal yet another small company's brilliant idea, and stamp their name on it like how Karelia's Watson suddenly reappeares as Sherlock 3. Maybe this time it will be with Virtual desktop.…

I hope that there is a leak from someone at the May conference...that would tide me over. Maybe someone that goes to the conference takes a picture of a presentation, and then, say, posts it on ,say , Ebay?

I don't care what happens, I just want my Powermac 970!

originally posted by @homenow: [quote] If PM 970's are shown, they probably wont tell anyone what is in them. Apple has never shown us a product and then refrained from telling us its tech specs...everyone would know that it was the 970 even…

It is highly unlikely that Apple would announce a Powermac 970 before the 970 is in full-scale production. Apple might have been sent a thousand-odd chips to experiment with, but that too is highly unlikely. And anyway, May is way to early to introd…

The 4 gigabyte RAM maximum that the 970 promises will be godsend for Lightwave, Finalcut, and Shake. Add the 970, a 15k HD, and a wicked 900 mhz system bus, and the Xeon will run out in a state of terror.
-
Shake is one of Apple's top products, intended for full-blown Hollywood productions. And if, say, WETA Digital isn't happy with Shake, they will just drop Shake. There goes $10,000 for Apple.
-
I can imagine that Shake will be the first to migrate to 64-bit optimization, being a super-professional app. Finalcut will be next, and iMovie, etc. will almost definitely not be 64-bit for a while, if ever.

If the 970 debuts in the xServe, which seems to be the likely case, then there will most likely be an explosion of sales as all the renderfarms and scientific firms rush out to buy them. I don't think that the same explosion would happen in the Powe…

Well aren't you lucky ... but does being a firefighter in the Air Force pay enough? I'm not much for estimating the annual pay of military jobs.

That would make sense. That is what Applrumors.com has to say on the issue. They also have an article on the possibilities of an Apple tablet to be released in MW Sanfransisco. That brings up another question. Will an Apple tablet be in the iPod fam…

I dunno. It will be quite a while after the Powermac 970 release that Apple releases a 970 Powerbook. And hypothetically, the Powermac 970 will be out in Q3 (Fall), at earliest. That means that we will be waiting a while for a 970-based portable.
-
Then what is it? Is it a zombie? The iBook is soon to move to a G4 chip, the eMac is basically a classic iMac with a G4, and (hopefully) by July or Fall or whatever, the G3 will be3 generationsbehind the powermac. Thats a bit much.
-
Dead bodies don't grow taller. That too is the case with the iMac G3.

AMD., Intel, Micro$oft... all full of lies and deciet. Exactly what does it matter to us Mac users?
-
At the current top configurations from Dell and Apple, when you add the Powermac's Dual Processors together, the resulting number is almost as high as the Dell's 3 ghz flagship. Apple almost doesn't need to be so adamant about this Mhz Myth thing, s…

Even if Quark for OS X came out tomorrow, a lot of business would of been lost to Adobe Indesign 2.
