None of us here, but being ignorant about the fact that we have some pretty competitive competitors doesn't help anything. But I guess whining about what dell has and we don't doesn't solve anything either...(diss to me)

I would want it that high, if OS X allowed the interface elements to be scaled independently of the resolution. I think that a good move in 10.3 would be a vector-based UI.
-
Sorrry...I meant, what future hardware will Apple have to release to compete with this?
-
Thank you, thank you! My Mama always said that my reasoning on Apple's design strategies was my most attractive feature...

A Gobi G3/450 would run OS X fine (don't argue- I am running Jaguar on my Beige 350, and it works just fine) and the small screen resolution, assuming that we are talking about the PDA sporting a 800 X 600 TFT, OS X will need even less VRAM to opera…

Look, Apple could cobble together a PDA and optimize OS X for touchscreen use in a matter of minutes. But I want something more than a PDA. Something that is truly Apple.

Where have you been? Word on the street is that a July release is more likely. None of us are insider worms at Apple, but that's what the top dollar is on. Let's be optimistic. Painfully optimistic.

Lets face it. Moto figures that no one will want to have bragging rights on the integrated processor in their set-top DVD player. So why push the MHZ rating?

Maybe I'll have enough welfare money saved up by then... But we need a metal Powermac enclosure. Yes! That's it! Maybe Apple will decide that the Pro line will be decked out in Aluminum armor, while the Consumer macs will have white Lucite. Its…

You are right. A 1.4/1.6/1.8/Dual 1.8 ghz lineup would be good. But I think that four isn't a traditional Apple lineup...maybe drop the 1.6. But we need a DP model.
-
I dunno. I think that Apple should still include a G4 in the Performace (or lack there of) lineup.
-
I think that the lineup will be this, if as good as this: Low end: Single G4 1.4ghz, 167 bus Mid-range: Single 1.8 ghz 970 High end: Dual 1.8ghz 970's

I want the 970 in a Newton What!? I'd only be satisfied with a Power5 Newton!
-
So we are hoping with all our minds and hearts.

When I saw that the Powermac line was the failure of last quarter, I was scared that Apple would drop the Powermac line and become a consumer-only company. But then I saw the first update that intoduced the 20" cinema display, and I realized, with e…

$2300 is a steal for a killer desktop.

Wait a sec...Shake isn't an Apple product through-and-through? If it isn't, then why isn't Emagic's product on their site? You know, that sound editing product?

I doesn't have to be totally ugly. The Xserve, in my opinion, is extremely sexy. But that's just my opinion.

I watched The Lord of the Rings:the Two Towers a couple days ago, for my third time. It's a good, engaging movie, as we all know, but I was feeling a bit groggy at the end of the film, so I decided to watch the credits roll by. I watched the cr…

Niether do I. If it ain't broke, why fix it? But Apple has a good reputation of fixing things that are good.
