Congratulations to Léo Apotheker, his reward is a $25 million severance package. Not bad, huh? Now the former head of Mr. Potato Head (when she was at Hasbro) takes over. I can't wait to see the new tablet designs that come out of HP.

And the name of this consortium is? Reuters doesn't mention it either. Strange, no? Maybe because it is ePresse, which released an iPad app a couple of weeks ago. What's their answer to Apple" Giving away PDF versions of the print newspaper.…

Much of what is new on any iPhone is more software than hardware. For instance, Apple could keep the home button as is by allowing for a software "home" option on the display ? less tapping of the home button would equal fewer home button hardware i…

I think HP should put in a bid. I understand they have some unsold tablets gathering dust.

"I want an app that holds magazines." And I want a television that holds radio stations . . . a car that holds my horse . . . a book that holds my tablets (stone tablets, that is). If you want something to hold your magazines I would suggest…

I interviewed the president of Newsy today who mentioned the WWDC and that their additional funding would go to paying for things like the WWDC (he was sort of joking really). I almost told him "better sign up now, WWDC sells out fast" but didn't. I…

It isn't a surprise that most of the comments are negative: many of the comments are clearly from non-NYT readers so this wouldn't effect them in any way. The question will be how many loyal online readers will be converted to paid customers? …

I love my Apple TV but there are a couple of "fixes" that would be nice: 1) obviously more content, but that is an ongoing issue, and I'm sure there are biz dev people responsible for this 2) AirPlay streaming: I'll be curious to see if the ac…

I don't see a software update for OS 8.4, and what's this thing called iTunes, you mean SoundJam, right? Also, my contacts at Apple inform me that iOS 4.3 will actually be released, at some point.

The problem with the XOOM is that its supporters are saying that there are all those Android apps, just as Steve Jobs said last year that the iPad could run all those iPhone apps. iPad owners quickly learned, however, that they didn't like runnin…
