I am cute, a mac user, and am Scottish to boot; someone give me gmail and I will have your baby. Robin.

LOL Barto. That is exactly it!! I just hope that my new 17" baby is able to help me get over my performance anxiety. On another note, over and above all of the spec nonsense, this is what makes being part of the mac community so groovy; 50,000…

So, I am sitting here with one hand on my crotch and another on my credit card (I suppose that means that I am typing with the third one :-) I have ben waiting for the iMacs to get a rev...I am so excited!!
-
Gosh, a sub 1k imac would rock my world!!! :-)
-
I am sorry to say, I suspect that you are both right...I forsee no price drops. Bottom line is that the iMac is no longer priced as an entry level machine, it's specs need to reflect it's now being mid-range. I really hope that Apple catches on …

Yup, I am really holding out for the new 17". I have no problem with the price being 'mid-range' but would like to get a decent machine for my money. The video card badly needs updating, Nvidia does not even make the GeForce 2 or 4 mx any more. I…

OK, ok...my PB 12" plus $100!! Now that would see like a fair deal...
-
Oh, and there was a slower 17" 800 mhz. I would be willing to do it for that one too...

Well, I think that they are roughly equal in terms of monetary value...give or take a little. It is really about someone who wants to gain portability...and seems easier for all concerned than having to go through the whole selling thing... :-)

OK, well, all I bought myself was a few more hours...I have until tomorrow at noon to get a system. Thanks for all the help guys!! The eMac I think, is the best 'bang for my buck' as they say. Short of wanting to add drives (which I can do via …

Quote: PB if you are going to be into portability--way into it--like you were with the 15". (?) To be honest, I really like the idea of being into portability, but in reality, the PB sat on my sesk 90% of the time. It has been years since I l…

Sorry...no credit for lil' old me! :-( SO that is one vote for the eMac and one for the PB? Nobody seems very into the 1.25 G4 towers...I have not heard from anyone who has bought one yet.

Yeah, sorry about that! I think that you may be right...it is the cheapest of the options and I was thinking it might be kinda cool to be responsible for once. \ I know this is silly, but it is just about as sexy as Christopher Walken in a…

Quote: WHOA, dude. You can't be serious. I mean, yeah, the palm rests on the Ti were a lot cooler, because the only thing residing beneath them were the drives, while the graphics and processor circuitry was pushed to the back of the unit. Don't te…

I have had both the Ti 800 and the 12" Superdrive....The 12" is WAAAY hotter! (left palm-rest...ouch!) It is damn sexy though... R.

I have it. I actually does not run too badly on my TiBook 800. A little choppy, but very playable. If you are a fan of FPS, and like a little realism (well, as near as you can get from the comfort of your own living room) you should check it out.…

Your moral, I agree with! I think that must be what it is...if I have 5 macs on the network, and the files work on up to 3, I can buy it, spread it to 3 of them, and then claim that I lost it, re-download it, and copy it to the other 2. I bet …

Wow, you could be an entire career for some ambitious young psychiatrist.

This is not about me trying to assign blame!!!! I began saying it was my fault, my intention here was to merely discuss a policy. It seems that everyone just wants to blame someone.

Ok, to begin... Your tone is so abrasive and unpleasant that it makes any semblance of objective discussion difficult at best. I have perused these boards for some time, and have to say it is members like you that make posting less than appealin…
