The phone has to be ruggedized and customizes. For those reasons alone, the iPhone is out.

Don't put out an $800 model when your competitor with tens of thousands of tablet apps has a $500 model. Don't put out that model with your best advantages--flash, LTE, and SD card support--not working. A $400 wifi model like ASUS is going t…

I wouldn't exactly count Intel out. AMD was gaining on Intel rapidly until Core2Duo chips came out. They have an enormous research budget to develop new chip advancements.

Sell it for $25 with ads and I would buy it.

Apple needs to have different size iPhones like it does for every other product that it makes. At least one with a 4" screen.

I wonder why Samsung doesn't use a simmilar chip in its phones. This is much better than the Hummingbird.

Off topic, but anyone else notice the giant Xoom ads on the main page?

This thread is a good example of why non lawyers should not try to argue legal points especially in an area like copyright law.

I don't get how Netflix is in this discussion. Why would anyone buy anything through the Netflix app? You sign up for a subscription on your PC or Mac and thats it.

Verizon iPhone sales are going to be spread out as people's contracts expire over the next year. I see no problem in that. AT&T's iPhone releases are times so people who bought iPhone's on launch day 2 years previous will all be ready to upgra…

There are so many people still locked into contracts that the amount of people who switch is going to be unknowable for a few years.

I think a lot of people are hoping the iPhone 5 has LTE, however unlikely. I know that I do not want to be locked out of LTE for 2 years.

If HP can create a Davlik wrapper so this can run Android apps as well, it will get a bunch of Android users who like WebOS better, but want the app catalogue of Android.
