bump... Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

I've got the same problem. http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/archives/...05.html#S18810 They had some good ideas, but the only thing that worked for me was leaving the energy settings to full instead of automatic.

I'm also seeing this problem with vCards. When the VCF file contains Japanese in the persons name (N: or FN then on the iPod it shows up as garbled text.

Thanks for your reply. I'm using my iPod with my work computer (Win XP, Outlook 2003) and my home computer (PM G5). The iPod is formated as FAT32. When I export the calendar even from Outlook, the text looks fine on my computer (opening the iC…

So in otherwords, I'm out of luck...? Bummer I guess I'll just have to continue switching the plug back and forth, or think of something different (export my iPhoto album to the G3 server...)\

when I have the iPod connected at work, the file names are normal. when I view them on my Mac, they're a mix of all caps or not capitalized (normal).

I've been using my new 60GB iPod photo with my Windows PC at work and my Mac at home. Things are great...

Hello, I bought the computer used (from a store). It came with the FW card installed directly to the motherboard (upper corner of the motherboard). I checked to make sure it was seated properly (it was). Maybe I just got a bad daughter card...

I tried hooking up a FW device (hub, HD, TV Tuner) but nothing changed. Any ideas?

I just tried hooking up my FW hub. It's got a FW HD hooked up to it and my Canopus ADVC-200TV. No luck... I'll try rebooting with the stuff hooked up and turned on...
