I dunno... I think they'd sell even more if they were cheaper. How many people here that don't already have an iPod would run out and buy one if they lowered the price significantly? *raising hand* Me! Me!

Mmmm. That's true. i guess I'm just cheap.

Addison, that is true. It was nice of Microsoft to make OSX friendly software so quickly. But then, I'm still using my Classic Office software in OS9. I do use IE though, and it's not too bad. But the only reason people don't complain about ha…

Another thing. Barto, I love the humor! It reminds me of something I saw a couple years ago where someone had made some photographic parodies of Word. Like I remember a pulldown menu where one of the options was Take Back Snide Comment to Boss. …

Well yes, I use TextEdit a lot too. But for doing formatting-intensive stuff like resumes and lists... Word offers more consistency than RTF. Especially when you know everyone else will be using Word. But for something like an essay that's not…

Oh my God, no! Tabs and paragraphing drive me up the wall! Thank you Paul and Trumpet for getting us back on topic. But to answer the Adobe suggestions... the people I send the documents to need to be able to update them in their Microsoft Wor…

LOL! I can't believe this thread is still going! All I said was that the stripes suck and I want something better in the next update! But I agree with those of you that say themes are a waste of time. I don't want too many options or something…

iCat! Eaglebait! Useless! LOL We had a girl cat last fall, and we named it Aiko, which is Japanese for Love. She is a very loving cat. Unfortunately, she turned out to belong to the neighbors. And we learned this AFTER an expensive trip to…

OH MY GOD! HyperCard! I was an elementary education major at Purdue University, and we were using HyperCard in a class about using computers in an elementary classroom. This was just 2 years ago... Now, 99% of everyone who took this mandator…

Oh I figure we don't need to send it to them. They read this stuff, you know it. So, while I'm at it, I also want 'Note Pad' to be put in OSX! I know it's still in Classic mode, but it'd be so much handier in OSX. Just so you don't do away wit…

Ooops. I probably should have put this in the OSX area. My bad.

That's strange, Hobbes. Mine isn't slow at all. I really like the stuff offered at sherlockers.com. Thanks for pointing it out, Darren. I do have some problems, however, with content just not being there. I downloaded the Billboard one, and…

Hmmm. Well, even with a full charge, the meter just says 3:30. Even with the screen brightness way down and the Energy Settings to "Maximum Battery Life". I guess I need to time that on my watch instead of trusting the timer.

Hmmm. Looks like I need to adjust my power and brightness settings. Why didn't I think of that? Duh. I have also been told that it is a good idea to run your battery way down sometimes and then power it all the way back up. Otherwise the batte…

Well actually, it was 2 years ago when the printers stopped working. It's just now that I'm getting around to doing something about them. Until now, it was easier to just print my documents whenever I found myself in a university computer lab, whi…
