  • Quote: Originally posted by costique I assume you can still read the pages on Apple US site. I don't think that Apple UK would have different descriptions of Apple's software/hardware, apart from spelling. Yeah, but if someone is thinking of …
  • Quote: Originally posted by wizard69 This truely boggles the mind! How can anybody read the spec sheet below, consider that the eMac hasn't had a significant update in a long time and the say "Not a bad update.". I see this as a lackluster u…
  • Who knows? I have been 'pricing up' for a family member but if they wanted to order one straight away, they can't? Do you think AppleUK forgot to update the store? And one more thing , why only one page devoted to the eMac? AppleUS have about fo…
  • Quote: Originally posted by The Placid Casual Yep, I have to agree. Also have to agree. The UK refurb store is never open on Thursdays and never has products like the 15" Powerbook still available to order at 12.45pm. These things are usually…

  • Oh dear. I'm wondering about something. When he was disassembling his G5, he obviously can't just lift the entire guts out at once so while he was taking this and that out, didn't a voice pop into his head, you know which voice I mean, the voice …
  • Is the Student version upgradeable though? I can remember seeing something, not sure where, that said it wasn't. Correct me if I am wrong. Also, I think some companies/individuals would want the 'normal' version, for reasons of honesty if nothin…
  • If Apple don't want to include Appleworks why not offer MS Office at a discount when you buy your new Mac? Possibly limit the deal to the Pro line to distinguish the lines between consumer and pro a bit more?
  • Wouldn't the 26th make more sense, the Monday right after the anniversary? Apple have released new stuff on Monday from what I remember, the eMac being one. Saturday just doesn't seem right to me.
  • Already been done. And restarted and pretty much everything else I can think of except deleting a preference file!
  • Lemon Bon Bon, regarding your possible future for the iPod, I would have to agree with you somewhat. The iPod mini has been introduced, with many wondering what the fuss is about due to the relatively high price compared with the original iPod. …

  • iMac 266 bought April/May? 1999. Gave it a new lease of life earlier this year thanks to an OS X upgrade. I bought a reduced in price version 10.1, mainly as an experiment and to try OS X, the iMac was exhibiting all the symptoms of the video boa…
