In OS 9 you can drag something on to a folder and the folder will open. I think that's what spring loaded folders are.

I could never figure out why people say "Jag-Wire." It just doesn't make sense. I say "Jag-waar" which is better. I'd get laughed at if I proonounced it correctly though ("Jag-u-ar"). Could someone explain why people say "Jag-wire?"

Why hasn't anyone mentioned that Apple has never claimed superiority over Athlons? Or the fact that this was a system with (using the AMD method) about 1600 more mhz than the Mac? The damn Mac should be slower, that Athlon system had WAY better sp…

Why would you NOT turn your PowerMac off at night? I had a G4 tower in my room for 2 years+ and every time I would leave the thing in sleep mode it would sound like there was a freight train running through the middle of my room.

80hz refresh rate is plenty for me so if I was in the market, I'd get the eMac over the iMac. Same features and in my opinion a better screen. The price is reasonable too. I don't know why people bitch about headaches and stuff like that. For tho…

Definately wire the house for ethernet. I did it and it's not too hard (especially since you don't even have walls yet!). I put a gigabit ethernet network in my house and will never regret it, it blows away AirPort.

If you use Photoshop frequently, a G4 makes a world of difference. I have a G3 and a G4 computer so i know. Wait a couple months if you can and get the new PowerBook that should come out. Or if price is important, get an old PowerBook in a couple…

Actually apple has access to AT LEAST 800mhz mobile G4 chips (7445?) and the Mobile Radeon 7500 is available so Apple CAN update their PowerBooks whenever they want to. They choose instead to wait until the last possible moment. 6 months+ is way to…

Once again, it's not about clock speed but when I can get a vastly superior (hardware spec wise) laptop for the same price, I'll go with the laptop with the better performance. Apple has access to G4s that are at least 800mhz that can go in PowerBo…

Applenut, those specs certainly sound reasonable and would vastly improve the PowerBook. I still would love to see DDR RAM but that will come in the PowerMacs first. I really hope they find a way to get a 1ghz+ chip in there before the end of the …

I don't need Mhz, I just want decent performance. OS X on a PoweBook is SLOW. That Alienware laptop offers LOTS more for the money than a PowerBook G4. For some people, weight is an issue but I never found carrying a Wallstreet uncomfortable. An…

still not high enough specs, Applenut. Does anyone know what the batter life on that Alienware book is?

Ah, yet again when someone brings up the subject of fast PC's, they get the "Well then go by a PC you ****er!" So typical, it really gets annoying. You're so in love with this company (Apple) that you can't even see that this is significant and it…

Thanks a lot man, you should get your name somewhere in the credits of my movie.
