I just read the email again (was in Europe when I rec'd it) It's an offer to buy the iPad wifi version and use their mifi service to connect (which is what I do for my iTouch and iPad. Sorry for the confusion.

Rumor? I'm a verizon cell customer & a couple of weeks ago I received an email from Verizon that the iPad is coming. They included a subscription price as well. Hope I saved email...
