No PM untill March, that's like 3-4 days away.8)

Hypertransport 2 is introed yesterday, they will integrate this new tech in products by the end of 2004

http://www.hardmac.com/niouzcontenu....004-02-03#1522 As showed by many people by now, but look at the first news from the top "Next week, the HyperTransport Technology Consortium" HyperTransport 2 is in the works, could this be an indication for…

What happened the last 2 weeks on the supercomputer horizon, we'll see in 3 more days at the supercomputer conference. I guess 'Big Mac is still on 3rd place, but has gained a Tflop with additional and final tweaking, we'll see

10,3 TFlops now check the document again. 10 TFlops barriere is broken
-
http://www.netlib.org/benchmark/performance.pdf , new version of article reveals 9,5 TFlops for VT cluster, HOERA. and still rising i think
-
Wrong robot, they are working with Panther and early benchmarks show it could get in 2nd place, but we should know for sure the +-15 nov.

As of Rpeaks the Nec can go to 41 Tflops and the VT can go to 17,6 Tflops, but the G5 are dual so the second processor works for about 80-90% so it may result in +- 12 to13 Tflops in the listing as the Nec has 33,93 Tflops but i think the Vt will g…

I did some calculations and from the theoretical 17,6 Tflops there would remain about 80% of it so +- 15 Tflops, i did my calculations with the other top 5 supercomputer and saw how much of their max was left for the official ranking. If you don't b…

I know it sounds super duper, but as I see Xbench tests of dual G4 and Dual G5, the G4 has 5,10 Gflops altivec basic and G5 just 4gflops. So theoretical the G4 would have a maximum of 15,9324 Tflops I guess in the same Vtech cluster config ,so the p…

hi again I read on a italian site. that the dual G5 had a score of 213 with xbench 1,0. You can check it http://www.cammac.it/speciali/g5_bench/index.htm .

xbench update: a 2GHz G5 MP is slower than an 1,6 ghz G5. Something really wrong with xbench. PLz Use the Ibm compiler to get real results
-
their's a new 1,6 GHz G5 that showed up at xbench with scores that are higher then the other 1,6 and the 1,8 . It's about 10 points overall better and is in the same league as the 1,25 ghz M

THX Kesh, it has to work now. Grtz
-
Yeah I know but the 1,8 has faster ram than the 1,6 so it doesn't make a big difference i think. I'm not a genius (yet), people make mistakes i just pointed it out for some good all fashion disscussion.

Did it occur to you guys that Steve might have tested the g5's at WWDC with a beta of Panther. If you look at www.hardmac.com aka macbidouille, there are benchmarks of xbench that shows the difference between 10,2,6 and 10,3. If we wait for optimize…
