Am surprised after all the hate that having recently downloaded the public beta how much I like the new Safari. Muscle memory occasionally kicks in but in the main have adjusted very quickly.

Interesting. The log is full of the SIGKILL items so I’d assumed they were normal. I’ve already got something plugged into the thunderbolt port. I think I will ask Apple to swap it. It’s a faff and annoying to wait for a machine until July having or…

There's also a 'Coalition Cache Hit' but that's for System Prefs. Can't see anything for memory or GPU...might an erase and restore work after all? I installed everything for the first time on the machine rather than using a Time Machine back up or …

Apologies - found it. Around the time of the issue the odd messages out are the following, although variations of some appear earlier in the log too. I'm sorry if all this totally fine and normal - I have no clue as to what they mean! Can see a few…

Thanks again, Marvin. First Aid says is all fine with the disk. I'm sure I'm being very dumb but I can't find the /var/log/ link in the Console? I seem to recall there being some kind of graphics error in the log just before the apps became unrespon…

Thanks so much Marvin for taking the time to reply - I really appreciate it. FileVault is on but not showing as still encrypting in system prefs. The line in terminal says Filevault: Yes. Does that mean it is done rather than still encrypting? I'm …

It's still in the 14days so should I send it back? It can't be maxing out the 8GB of RAM already can it? Other than iAWriter on 11.4, it was all system apps on 11.3 - Messages, Safari and Mail.

Seems to me more probable, given the iMac design language, that the outer shell of a new MacBook would be the darker shade, with the keyboard surround the pastel colour next to the off white bezel.

I wonder with the white bezels whether they’ll transfer over to the MacBook Air refresh or relaunched MacBook? I remember in the days of iBook and G5 iMac that they had white bezels, and the first gen MacBook. Aluminium bezels on the original Air. I…

I am really pleased - this was probably my favourite Apple TV+ show so far. It started gently and I thought it was in in the same vein as Catastrophe but less successful. I was wrong. It's a very different beast. It is softer than Catastrophe but no…

I realise the original HomePod doesn’t have the U1 chip so mightn’t be able to do any or all of this. However, if using with an iPhone with a U1 is there any suggestion that some of it may still work? I currently find handoff a bit hit and miss so a…
