    2.5 seems borderline-generous.

    Car mounts are one of these things that are simultaneously both perfected years ago, and yet so much imperfection persists, like this.

    I don't have a problem with magnetic mounts. The Scosche Magic Mount, Nite-Ize Steelie, and Pure-Gear.com universal magnetic car mount are the best of breed. All of them do suction cup or vent mount, as well as a few that mount with 3M VHB tape to the dash. Logitech OneDrive is also in this category.

    True, they don't include the lightning port - but the advantage is, when you don't include the lightning port, every case works.

    The other variety are the vent mount that have spring loaded side clips. Kenu AirFrame, Belkin, etc. CD Mount, I'd say iOttie. I keep a Kenu AirFrame+ in my travel bag for use in rental cars. It's small, and does the trick for travel.

    I think dinging this unit for lack of Qi is a bit silly. Qi is convenient if you're doing short drives and can't be bothered to plug in, but if you're in-car for a longer drive, Qi is a sub-par option. Qi charges slower, and over time, it harms the battery's longevity.

    The reason Chromebook is as dominant as it is, is due to the user management of it. Setting up a school with google accounts and managing them is dead simple, compared to anything Apple has. Google is currently 10x better than Apple in this one area, which makes it such an easy choice in addition to the price. If you can't beat them on administration, and you can't beat them on price, it doesn't matter what else you can do in this market.

    Zuck is really trying hard to get this to blow over, he is hoping in a few weeks people will forget and go back to what they always have been doing which is sharing their information with Zuck so he can make lots of money. If that happen I guess i will jump back in on the stock and also make money off people giving up their privacy.
    Nielsen ratings did come from somewhere, though. Advertisers weren't just throwing dollars at TV spend, they were working on spending on time slots when they knew people would be watching, and more than that, when they knew their target audience would be watching. Soap operas are called that because it was that time of day when the housewife was at home, and they could advertise soap to her.

It’s a lot better than it used to be, but I still have issues with it on a very regular basis. The ease of use makes it worth trying, but every time I use it I find myself subconsciously thinking about what I’ll do when it doesn’t work. 
    It's damned unreliable. If it's not consistent, how can you trust it? The real pain is that you can't transfer files between iOS and Mac locally (not iCloud) without it.
