  • Apple extends existing Apple TV+ free trials for a second time

Even when its free it’s not worth it.
Oh no no! Don’t post a negative comment about Apple TV+ here! I made that mistake once and was subjected to an unbelievable amount of criticism and insults. Don’t touch the sacred cow!
Lame negative comments unsupported by any justification for the position deserve whatever negative feedback they get.

There are several great series and a couple good movies. I don’t know if we’ll pay for it, but certainly disagree that it’s a waste at free. We’ve watched See, Morning Show, For All Mankind, Defending Jacob, Truth be Told and now finishing Tehran.  All are worth the time spent.  Also enjoyed The Banker and Grayhound on the film side.

  • Apple adds warning over third-party cameras in iOS 14.4

Are the current warnings persistent or can the user select “Don’t show again”?
If “Don’t show again” is an option that would allow folks to sell said phone to an unsuspecting customer on eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace without the person ever knowing that he/she bought an iPhone with non-OEM (likely inferior) parts.  That doesn’t seem great if the goal is increased transparency with these messages to begin with.

  • Federal Circuit grants Apple petition to move Uniloc lawsuit to California

Maybe this change of venue will start a larger trend. A defendant in that district is already at a disadvantage, just by being a defendant in that district.

IF Apple steals IP, they should be held accountable because they stole, not because they're Apple.
    Fixed that for you.

  • Apple must face lawsuit over Tim Cook's China 2018 sales predictions

If you look at the notes AppleInsider had for that November earnings call, China had double digit growth in iPhone sales for that quarter. How can Cook be "concealing" falling sales in that particular call if that's factual? Also, the "not in that category" reference by Cook appears to be related to countries that had currency devaluation versus the dollar and Apple makes the comment that they had to raise prices in some of those countries. India and Brazil were the only ones that were flat or down relative to sales.
Earnings are reported nearly a month after the time period covered by the report. Sales in China could have started trending downward in November even if they had been great during the previous quarter.  I think the lawsuit is garbage, but just providing a response to your question.

  • Early tests show Ceramic Shield significantly improves iPhone 12 durability

I wish we could stop this. Many people want a phone for themselves and these people are breaking them on purpose.
Seriously?? Then pre-order it sooner.  Many people wait to see videos like this before they’re comfortable buying the phone.  In our great federal republic you pretty much have the freedom to do what you want with the stuff you buy as long as you’re not hurting anyone.
