Apple again rumored to goose iCloud security amid iPhone encryption flap
If the FBI wants the passcode to that one terrorists phone, they should stop bothering Apple and approach the banks that the terrorist dealt with. Get the BANKS to disable the 3 tries protection they have on PIN entry and then brute force the debit card(s). I'd bet a large amount of money that his iPhone passcode is the same as one (or all) of his debit card PINs. -
Google's search engine crawler to stop identifying as an iPhone come April

...but does appear to reflect trends, and could mean that Google searches will favor newer Web standards.
Things that hurt your ranking are bad html that does not validate, use of Flash, malware, known untrustworthy domains, self signed certificates, using keywords that are not on the page, mention of competitor's name in the meta data, etc. Newer web standards can also be misused or generate poorly formatted code just as much as older web standards can. Ranking is all about being a really good page, not so much the technologies used. -
Three weeks after calling for Apple boycott, Donald Trump is tweeting from his iPhone again
"PUMP & DUMP, TRUMP the CHUMP - BUMP my RUMP - LUMP LUMP LUMP!!!"
* (I am not an immigrant!)
Donald Trump wants to give you $100 from his election advertising budget! He has more money than he can spend in a lifetime and he has decided to share it with American voters! Rather than spend BILLIONS of dollars on traditional TV, Radio and Newsprint election ads, he has decided to use Facebook to purchase advertising from ordinary people like you and me! Simply copy and paste his Facebook campaign slogan "PUMP & DUMP, TRUMP the CHUMP - BUMP my RUMP - LUMP LUMP LUMP!!!" as your FaceBook status for at least 1 hour - anytime between now and Election Day to qualify for the $100 advertising fee! Facebook users must also include the phrase "* (I am not an immigrant!)" in order to be paid since this offer is only for *REAL* Americans. When the New York Times asked Trump what his slogan meant, Trump replied "It doesn't MEAN anything. It has my name in it and it rhymes. I like rhymes and I think Internet people like rhymes too!" The Wall Street Journal is upset about this campaign because it takes advertising dollars out of their pockets and gives it to ordinary people - but they did say that they "really like the rhyme".
The owner of FaceBook will be automatically monitoring who posts the status and will be sending the names to Trumps election accounting team at the end of each week. The $100 checks will be sent out whether Trump wins or loses the election. Facebook users can earn the $100 advertising credit once per week between now and the election.
Post this entire message as your status and help your friends earn $100 too!
(This is not real. I was bored and gave myself a couple good laughs writing it up. It's actually not funny - but scary how many people would believe this and actually post it as their status if this or something similar were to be released! I hope it gave at least some of you a laugh or two...!) -
DJI-Apple partnership leads to Phantom 4 drone training sessions inside Apple Stores
This description doesn't do justice to the Phantom 4. 20 metres per second is approx 45 miles per hour. I encourage anyone interested in purchasing a drone to look at some of the YouTube videos posted by DJI themselves. The object avoidance and object tracking capabilities are game changers if they work as advertised - and the 4K video is superb and super smooth thanks to the gimbal. If you are producing a video at 1080p - shooting at 4K gives you the capability to use digital zoom (more than 3x I think) in post processing and still have crystal clear 1080p footage - or shoot native 1080p at 240 frames per second and slow it down to 1/4 speed without any loss of clarity!
I own 2 of DJI's previous model (the Phantom 3). I loved the P3 - until they announced the P4 that is! The Phantom 3 had what I thought was phenomenal range - able to fly anywhere within a 2km (1.24 miles) radius from the remote control while sending back live 720p video to an attached iOS device...but the Phantom 4 blows that away too! The new Phantom 4 has a range of 5km (over 3 miles!)
I'm not affiliated with DJI in any way shape or form. I'm just a super happy customer that can't wait to try out the new Phantom 4
Here's the YouTube link to the official DJI video introduction of the Phantom 4... Youtube also hosts plenty of spectacular videos that people have taken with their phantom 3 at up to 4K video resolution.

US Attorney General Loretta Lynch talks iPhone encryption case with Stephen Colbert
nitrokev said:tenly said:"First of all, we're not asking for a backdoor, nor are we asking anyone to turn anything on to spy on anyone," Lynch said. "We're asking them to do is do what their customer wants. The real owner of the phone is the county, the employer of one of the terrorists who's now dead."
The owner of the iPhone itself may be the county - but the owner of the data on it belongs to the person who protected it with a passcode - not the county. Just because you buy or otherwise obtain a used iPhone, you do not become the owner of any data that was left on it.
Hey - here's an unrelated question. I have an iPhone protected by the Activation Lock feature. Nobody has my Apple ID password. What happens if I die unexpectedly? If I bequeath the phone to my son - how will he be able to get past the Activation Lock in order to set it up with his Apple ID? Will Apple disable the Activation Lock upon presentation of a death certificate?
