Apple paying $113M to settle multi-state investigation into iPhone throttling
I resent this phrasing:
Despite attempts to educate users, Apple was targeted with multiple lawsuits, which pushed Apple to take action.
I didn’t need to be educated about how batteries work. I needed Apple to disclose that they radically changed my phone’s performance characteristics, and I deserved to be a party to that decision. -
Apple releases iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 with bug fixes & iPhone 12 support

Apple engineers reportedly testing new prototype AirPower with A11 processor
smack416 said:Here's the thing I discovered using a similar, flat charging matt. The way the sport watch bands sit, if you lay the watch flat, it starts to lift up in the middle, pulling the back of the watch far enough away from the matt that it doesn't consistently charge. Also, your sport loop or other closed watch band will prevent you from charging unless you take at least one end off. So a flat AirPower may not be able to charge the watch without removing the bands. Not ideal. -
French fine Apple $27 million for battery patch that could slow down old iPhones
You guys are pathetic. Apple cut performance by more than 50% and didn't bother telling anyone, and yet in Apple stores customers were told their batteries were fine, even refusing to provide paid replacements, and were encouraged to purchase new phones. This is fraud, and the prosecutor's conclusion is uncontested by Apple. You can love their products, as I do, without wearing blinders.
