I'm not buying the 13.5 hours of battery life though.  The claim is that this is with video playback without WiFi and screen on low brightness.  However, that's not typical usage.  I know for a fact that I can get 12+ hours from an iPad with it actually being used.  I

This device is about 50% thicker than the iPad Pro and the latter has more pixels.  Notice how they compared it to the 12" MacBook instead of the iPad Pro... why are we comparing laptops to tablets exactly? Why isn't the iPad Pro considered a computer by statistics companies again?

The thing also weights more.  I'm not saying it wouldn't be a great device, but I don't think it's all that much better than the existing iPad Pro lineup and Apple is set to announce something new in less than two weeks...

Because you can do heavy workloads on a surface you can not do on an iPad...  Can you run VS or equivalent dev environment?  Can you run a full on database server like Sql Server?  A local web server?  Linux?  Full Photoshop?  No...  That's the reason they don't compare to iPads.  One is a toy one is a powerful computer for real productivity tasks.

You don't honestly believe you are going to change anyone's mind about this, do you?  You are seriously deluded if you think so.

  • Analyst speculates Apple's OLED 'iPhone 8' could ditch embedded fingerprint sensor

What the heck is this analyst smoking, because it must be some really good stuff.  There is zero chance of Apple releasing any phone without a fingerprint sensor in the near future.  Only until near perfect 3d face recognition will they even consider this - and it might still have one for those that prefer a fingerprint.  I can reach into my pocket to pull out my phone, and have it unlocked before I can even see the screen thanks to Touch ID.  Ludicrous to think they won't ship a new phone without it.

And no, don't put it on the back.  That's just dumb.

  • Apple said to diversify Apple Watch manufacturing duties as sales expand

But that's impossible as all the analysts say the watch is a dud.  No one can be buying it.  /s

  • Wireless charging and new glass casing will require heat compensation in Apple's 'iPhone X...

One down side to wireless charging is that you can't pick up the phone and use it while charging. Might be convenient for cars that offer that capability because you are not supposed to pick up the phone while driving anyway, but I'd rather just have a battery that lasts all day under heavy usage so that I only need to charge at night where plugging it in is no big deal. I imagine a wireless charger is going to be a bit bulky, so not really that convenient to carry around.
Umm, that isn't wireless charging at all.  Apple seems to be working on true wireless, where there is a module plugged into the wall, but no wires whatsoever to your phone or a stupid pad.  Not too mention being able to use it while charging.  No one else has done that yet, even though Samsung states th wireless charging, they're lying.

Would you guys say this is the first "wireless charging" tech?

The android morons are saying "Samsung already has wireless charging!!!!" But isn't that inductive charging and not "wireless"?
Of course they say that.  It isn't wireless if you have to plug the mat into the wall, and place the phone on it.  If you can't move around the room, and use the phone WHILE it's charging, it ain't wireless charging.
