  • Apple product launches face months of delays over supply chain backlog

I think it's hard to predict how bad the epidemic and concomitant supply chain problems are going to get at this end of it, but Apple has far, far more than enough cash to cushion the blow even if the next quarter or three are below expectations. A serious crisis would be more likely to arise for one or more of Apple's suppliers, if it can't meet production targets or sales fall short of expectations due to other suppliers' problems.

  • FBI reportedly accessed locked iPhone 11 Pro Max with GrayKey third party tool

Malwarebytes further notes that the device appears to combine a jailbreak with the brute force attack, since the brute force attack runs on the iPhone itself. It says it takes up to three days to get a six-character password. It's not clear whether it's testing the full character set from the blog or not. So most likely Koch simply had a relatively short password, as the time for the brute force attack would increase with length and the FBI has no way of knowing exactly how long Alshamrani's password is.

In today’s lesson in foreign accents, Entropy learns that Americans pronounce Ian as I-On, rather than its English E-An.

    /annoying third person.
No, we Americans say E-an, too. It's probably part of the guy's annoying character.

Yet another wish-fulfillment show by writers who think genius and assholery go together, e.g. House, Sherlock, etc. Not saying they're bad, but I always wonder whether trying to combine the two works as well for them in real life as the writers want it to.

That is just the way it is. But I am a cynical bastard.
I was objecting to the show runner’s attempt to claim some sort of higher cause to what is at the end of the day their money making plans.
Maybe a little too cynical. I mean: if they really only care about money, surely there are ways to make more of it than with a show about a 19th century poet.
