  • Photos of Apple Card showcase design, weight, and packaging

Anybody think this white card is going to look dirty and dingy after a relatively short amount of time?

  • 2020 5G iPhone coming in 5.4- and 6.7-inch sizes, LTE 6.1-inch iPhone [u]

5.4 in a full screen design like the iPhone X would bring it back down to the size of the iPhone 6/7/8, maybe even smaller.
it's the exact size of an iPhone SE (the entire casing, not the screen)

I pray this rumor is real. Besides my own selfish desire for a hand-sized phone, there's just not enough differentiation in the current lineup. Having significantly different models to choose between will bring more upgraders.

    Interesting.

  • Review: iPod touch is exactly what it needs to be in 2019

    It needs more capacity.
Use it as portable music / video / media storage or player. Just plug it into whatever playback device you have.

512GB would be nice. 1TB would be ideal.
But isn’t Apples new business model focusing on services? Specifically streaming music/video and gaming subscriptions? It seems like more local storage misplaces the emphasis on ripped content and downloads rather than streaming and subscriptions.

that said, I believe even with system software, 256GB now makes this iPod a direct replacement for the 160GB Classic in terms of storage.

  • New iPadOS lets you use a mouse to control your iPad and iPhone apps [u]

Some people really can't get over Apple ruining their talking points, defending Apple's resistance to adding a mouse all these years.

The bottom line is Apple is being totally hypocritical with the iPad by Marketing it with an attached keyboard, but not including a mouse, after stating that they would not bring a touchscreen to the MacBook because it would be awkward to lift one's hands from the keyboard to touch the screen -- exactly the same thing required by an iPad while using a keyboard.

And for that exact reason, they are adding mouse support. It doesn't matter if it's under accessibility -- that merely allows Apple to save face by insisting that it's there just for the disabled, knowing full well it's likely to serve the very people who would otherwise be using a MacBook, or buy into Apple's marketing that the iPad appears to serve as a MacBook replacement, merely by adding a keyboard.

  • 2019 'iPhone 11' may play audio over two Bluetooth devices at once

About frigging time. No idea why they don’t support some form of multicast rather than relying on Bluetooth 5.
Yup. They took away the headphone jack and are only finally getting around to supporting the same functionality wirelessly. Now two people can share the same movie at the same time without the need for wires, or dongles and adapters.

I thought the Apple AirPod commercial was hysterical where the woman shares her music with a guy she meets in the street, by giving him one of her AirPods, and they dance their way through the city in full immersive stereo fidelity! It’s clear from the commercial that Apple understands the need people have to share audio. That commercial should have introduced the ability to share audio with another set of AirPods. So yeah ... about time.
