It will be too expensive to replace all the 32-bit apps like Indesign.

Has anyone got a good VM/parallels solution?

Otherwise i am gong to have to skip for the first time in 18 years.
Or maybe it's finally time to get off the Adobe train? I haven't tried Affinity Publisher, but if it's as awesome as their Photoshop and Illustrator competitors…

I use Affinity Photo and I now like it better than Photoshop CC. I don't use Publisher, but I've heard great things about it from friends who do.

  • Apple TV+ will struggle to meet European quotas for local content at launch

Did not know this law existed. Does Europe have this requirement for any other industry such as manufacturing?
Both the US and Europe have such requirements for all kinds of industries, and have had since forever. Those are part of trade agreements and tariffs. The US however doesn't have one such for movies/shows, because Americans are provincial and not very world-aware, and don't consume as much foreign movies/shows in the first place, compared to any other country (closer to zero, with small exceptions such as anime, though even those are niche when it comes to the general public). Even for music, the mainstream American audiences barely listen to anything not American (or, at best, British).
Get off your European high horse. Americans are not very world aware? Give me a break. Do you not realize the United States is ranked second in the world for people traveling abroad? In 2018, 93 million Americans traveled abroad. The USA is the entertainment hub of the world so of course the stuff produced here will always be the most consumed. Even with that being the case, lots of producers and directors in Hollywood are from other English speaking countries such as the UK, New Zealand, etc. As for music, your comment is really ridiculous. Look at the charts the last 5 years or so. Lots of popular artists here come from Canada, UK, Australia, etc. EDM has become mainstream here and most of the artists are from the Netherlands. Even if you go back further in time, many of the artists on the charts weren't American. It's funny you believe Americans are apparently "not very world-aware" yet you have no idea about things here.

  • How to master the Camera app on iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro

Using the Pro, what is the best technique for extreme close up? Which lens or setting will give the greatest detail on a closeup of a tiny insect on a tiny flower?
From my experience, I have gotten the best results using the 2x optical zoom on the Pro for tiny insects or flowers. Make sure you always use AE/AF lock for a clear shot. For larger flowers like a bird of paradise, you can get some great results using portrait mode. For bunches of flowers, I will either use ultra wide or the regular lens.

Non destructive cropping of aspect ratios is really a cool feature. Typically in other phones I've seen, shooting in 16:9 aspect ratio is a lower quality picture compared to 4:3. I'm guessing the iPhone is still shooting in 4:3 behind the scenes and keeping the metadata even when you have 16:9 aspect ratio selected.

  • Apple just released iPadOS 13.1 - here's what features to look for

Other than my apparent inability to share a folder, I’m having no issues on our iPads, and would heartily recommend installing it.
I fixed the issue from my previous post. I can't share a folder on my iPad either. It's actually not working on my iPhone as well. Both devices, I select a folder and the share button is greyed out. I can only share individual files in my iCloud drive, not folders on my iPhone.
