  • Super Micro reviewing its hardware in search for alleged Chinese spy chips

Journalists can and will make mistakes. Sources can lie and people can be duped, especially when it's backed by a foreign agency disseminating a false narrative. We accept this and (for everyone that is rational) we accept this will occur from time-to-time. The difference is that real journalists and the media outlets who employ them will admit when they are wrong or duped. These bad actors hurt all of journalism, so at this point I am boycotting Bloomberg just as I do Fox News for purposely choosing to push a false narrative.
I'm actually really surprised Bloomberg won't retract the story. You can say the same about CNN, MSNBC, etc. They push a false narrative as well. The only news sites I read now are from foreign newspapers. It seems like there aren't any neutral reporting news agencies in the U.S. anymore.

  • Chinese consumer group demands Apple compensate stolen Apple ID owners

A Chinese consumer group? Baloney. I don’t believe such a group would be allowed to exist in China unless the PRC was behind it to use as a propaganda or blackmailing tool against Western (or any non-Chinese) companies in China.
If you look at previous complaints by the China Consumer Association, it's pretty ironic how they only target foreign companies in China.

Even if they are original batteries (and the cost listed is suspiciously low) he doesn't have import rights.
Oh, I hadn't considered that. I was thinking it could be quickly resolved and Customs probably owed him an apology, but I guess even with genuine products, you don't automatically have the right to send them over international borders. It's up to the government of each country to set the rules at their borders.
In order to import genuine products, you would need a letter of license from the manufacturer. I'm pretty sure Louis Rossmann doesn't have one. He's an idiot thinking Apple is conspiring with the government. He just got unlucky CBP went through his package. I'm sure CBP saw the batteries and didn't see a letter of license so they assumed the batteries are counterfeit. Either way, Rossmann has no case at all.

  • Graphic 7 minute audio of Jamal Khashoggi's murder again linked to journalist's Apple Watc...

From the New York Times: "They severed his fingers during an interrogation and later beheaded and dismembered him, according to details from audio recordings published in the Turkish news media on Wednesday. It was all over within a few minutes, the recordings suggested."

This whole episode is simply beyond disgusting. Beyond reason.

    A bunch of savages.
I don’t know how much of this reporting can be believed without corroborating evidence. Second hand information from the Turkish government should be critically assessed.
I completely agree. I have a hard time believing anything that comes out of Erdogan's government.

  • Beats marks Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary with special-edition Solo3 headphones

Desperately trying to figure out the target market for these. Would you buy $330 headphones for your 6 year old?

You would be surprised at how many adults collect Mickey stuff. I'm sure a lot of people will buy these as a collectors item.
