  • Apple renews four Apple TV+ shows for second seasons

    Soli said:
That seems a little premature, but I guess that's better than FOX killing a series before it has a chance to take hold.
Consider Apple has well past 100k regular full-time employees what better sample to determine from then requiring staff to watch these shows and give feedback.

  • Apple smart ring could offer Apple Watch functionality on a finger

    hodar said:
Sorry, cannot "see" how a ring would be beneficial.  As we get older, our eyesight does not get sharper, and being able to read displays becomes more difficult.  Even a younger person will spend more time trying to read a ring, than they would glacing at a phone, or looking at a wrist watch.  Think we have distracted drivers who text; wait until they have to squint at a ring.

And what would the ring give us, that we don't enjoy now?  My watch gives me a wide range of functions, all easily controlled by either a gesture, voice or a push button.  With a ring, the buttons would be much smaller, the gestures more delicate - the trade off just doesn't seem to justify the benefit.
A smart ring paired with AR Glasses will silence the critics.

  • Here's what it's like when Apple wants to buy your company

It does come off as whining and complaining.

Of course there are bound to be large legal fees associated with such a deal. Of course there will be lots of paper work. Of course there will be secrecy. This goes without saying.

If the dude didn't want to sell the company, then they shouldn't have done it, if they can't handle everything that comes with it.
This is the Millennial Generation who have no fucking clue the R&D NeXT and then Apple invested to make their ``start ups'' possible via the App Store, and then bitch there is paperwork and other reviews to go through. This is the way of Business in Silicon Valley and other Fortune 100/500/1000 space, period.

Not all 32-bit software is ancient. I use Lightroom 6 standalone and have no alternative lined up yet, certainly not the subscription.
    checkout "darktable". https://www.darktable.org/

Its a good time to say good bye to the current line up of overpriced Apple Garbage.

    RawTherapee is far superior.

And it has a clean 64 bit OS X build.

I wouldn't touch it for at least six months after the disastrous IOS 13 rollout
    Dougd doesn’t like it!

Dont know what I’m doing wrong, but I’ve encountered zero disaster here. Can you clarify further about how you’ve been victimized by Apple? What are the real-world limitations you’ve experienced as part of the “disaster” on your end? Inquiring minds want to know.
Seriously. iOS 13 is chock full of really nice little details & upgrades with virtually zero bugs...

    DISASTER!!!
Catalina's entire Device Driver architecture is brand new and folks around here have no clue that is but one of hundreds of changes for the better.
