  • What Apple would have to do to comply with Donald Trump's American-built mandate

On the one hand it seems silly to even dignify Trumps ridiculous ravings with a serious consideration such as this. But I agree with Tralala that it would be better if we did get serious about technical education in this country and re- start manufacturing.

That should be Tim Cook's response... "Hey, Trump! We'll start thinking about moving manufacturing back to the US, when this fucking government starts thinking (and doing something) about the failing public education system in this country!"
    This is nonsense.

Articles like this one prove that it isn't about training. It is about profit and a race to the bottom. Tech companies have been the worst offenders of this problem. When foreign labor illegally comes into the country and a farmer wants to exploit that, we excuse it by saying they are jobs that Americans won't do. When they send the labor abroad, we blame the wages that would be paid here and declare that they were bad jobs no one wanted and now people have to be trained better for the good jobs. Now we see these corporations bringing actual people into the country under H1b visas, demanding the well-educated and well trained American workforce train their replacements and then firing the Americans.

At some point the excuses have to stop and people have to be employed. At every level Americans lose out and are told they don't need to be employed or they are the problem for their own lack of employment at all levels of effort and education. The techs have been the worst at this by far.

  • UBS sees record 75M holiday iPhone sales driven by Apple's lower priced models

Could it really be that Apple is doing anything wrong?

I think people aren't worried about how Apple is performing. I think people are questioning how much profit can be made in a market when the world is likely going to be experiencing a very strong economic downturn. The indicators are there across several markets. For Apple to take 90+% of all the profits in a market, there has to be a healthy market period. China is sick and the world is catching the cold.

  • Donald Trump promises to make Apple manufacture in US instead of China

Who knew that proposing that American companies should bring jobs and resources back to American was such a sexist and racist thing to utter?!?

Maybe it sounds better when Bernie utters it instead. Obviously Bernie is unhinged, reckless and an idiot.

Bernie Sanders believes that the top priority of any trade deal should be to help American workers. Unfortunately, as Bernie has warned year after year, American trade policy over the last 30 years has done just the opposite. Multinational corporations- who have helped to write most of these trade deals--have benefited greatly while millions of American jobs have been shipped overseas. American trade policy should place the needs of American workers and small businesses first.

Since 2001 we have lost more than 60,000 factories in this country, and more than 4.9 million decent-paying manufacturing jobs. We must end our disastrous trade policies (NAFTA, CAFTA, PNTR with China, etc.) which enable corporate America to shut down plants in this country and move to China and other low-wage countries. We need to end the race to the bottom and develop trade policies which demand that American corporations create jobs here, and not abroad.
[We should also] sign the petition to stop the Trans-Pacific Partnership--another trade deal disaster.

Again, immigration is net outward flow, so again what on earth are you trying to solve?
The GOP controlled both houses for 6 years without as proper solution; that's a fact.
The borders are more secure now than 8 years ago; fact.

People who distort reality like you have to be slammed hard; you understand nothing else.

His statements are racist, sexist, that's also a fact.
I'm not going stand around while someone so dangerous utter pure garbage all day long.
Everything else is blah blah  blah, he's different and talks the truth (sic).... blah blah blah.

Your name tells much how much I should respect you and telling me I'm calling name while Trump craps on everyone's head day and night is pretty choice.,

You're ignored from now on, do the same to me. I don't want to hear from Mussolini like apologists.

Your facts are pretty slippery. The Republicans took the House in 2010. The Democrats retained the Senate until the most recent mid-term election. So Democrats had the Senate under their control for 6 years of the Obama presidency. So your "facts" are very wrong.

His statements are racist and sexist to people who define the terms so broadly as to be meaningless. By the same definitions Hillary Clinton is equally racist and sexist is is President "Typical White Person" Obama . We know Bill Clinton is sexist on top of being a serial harasser and possible rapist.

Here is an example of Hillary Clinton's sexism.

Clinton said. "I do think there is something in the governing or organizing approach. I just think women in general are better listeners, are more collegial, more open to new ideas and how to make things work in a way that looks for win-win outcomes."

Did you understand that? Women are better because they are women. Men are inferior because they are men. That's straight up sexism.

As for handles and what they tell you about a person, Foggy does indeed suit you perfectly.

You do know what a false equivalency is. Look it up.
Its different because EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS GOD DAMN PROMISES IS EXTREME.
You do know the difference in degrees don't you?

A slew of xenophobic inflammatory promises versus
Obama saying  he'll close a prison, which the military and the GOP opposed  vehemently.. Hey, they're the same in your mind (sic).

Also, his boot lickers say he's not enslaved to lobbyist and he's telling it like it is when you argue he's just like the rest!
No cognitive dissonance in their little heads... Not at all.
The fact he would be one of those hiring the lobbyists in the first place also totally escapes his throng of morons.

The very fact you talk about immigration reform as a broken promise when you know why it's broken means your disingenuous; like most of his apologists.
Same thing with most of Obama's broken promises, many of which depended on being able to pass laws which after he took care of the economy and health care before 2010 was essentially impossible with the most obstructionist house EVER.
    .
The fact Bush tanked the economy completely upending his agenda and prevent most promises from occurring before he lost the house in 2010 to the same turds Trump represents... Well, that's totally escapes you hey.

So, please fracking keep your sauce argument to yourself.

He's not like the others, he's a dangerous demagogue.
It's pretty clear via the yelling and name calling that there isn't much to discuss with you on this matter. First of all fair trade instead of free trade isn't a racist position nor is it extreme. It is the position of many unions and should be a position of the Democratic Party as well. Otherwise all you have is a race to the bottom with the rich on top.

Obama promised comprehensive immigration reform. We can't argue the particulars because he ignored it. However of the big things he promised, he said he would secure the border, and crack down on employers who hire illegal immigrants.

As for why it is broken, he promised he would act on it in a timeframe when he had no obstruction possibilities. He had a Democratic House and Senate. He acted on Health Care during the same time. He didn't pass it because he doesn't want it. I suppose per your reasoning Obama is "tanking the economy" right now as well because I can assure you it will be in near recession by the next election.
