Apple being sued because two-factor authentication on an iPhone or Mac takes too much time...
pixelwash said:A suit is probably going too far, but I consciously realized that two -factor authentication would significantly increase the complexity of configuring my clean installs, and configuring new devices. So I've always avoided it for many of the reasons stated in the suit. I also dislike the nagging Apple does suggesting users enable two-factor authentication in new installs, or when there is a major system change in any of my Apple devices (of which there are many.) -

Apple should work on another way to strengthen security. What happened to simple and intuitive philosophy of Apple’s? -
Apple removes Siri team lead as part of AI strategy shift
The debate over which is better, Siri or Alexa is a non starter for me. I would never trust Amazon or Google with an earpiece in my house.
Siri is not a joke as some have suggested. Siri is very useful for anyone that uses HomeKit devices. If you have a HomePod, it is invaluable. However, Siri's reliability has declined over the last year. I have noticed many unprodded responses on the HomePod where Siri just jumps into the conversation as if we were speaking to it. I do understand how the "I found this on the web," or "I am unable..." can be frustrating to some. We are so accustomed to having all knowledge at our fingertips now that we can't understand why Siri is unable to answer any question we have.
But as I alluded above, the real value of Siri is not in answering all our whimsical questions, it is instead with the ability to help us with handsfree commands, while checking messages while driving or walking into a room to turn the lights on and play some music. -
If you want to sue Apple over FaceTime eavesdropping and live in Canada, now's your chance...

Apple in 2019 and the case of the expensive iPhone
AppleInsider said:The specific problem with the "iPhones are too expensive" story, however, is Apple didn't really raise the price of iPhones. It expanded iPhone pricing in both directions, creating the least expensive models and the most expensive models it has ever offered. It has been Apple's customers that have pushed the Average Selling Prices of iPhones up by choosing to buy more expensive models.
Just because there are a few dumb kids in class that bring the curve down, it doesn't mean the smartest kids don't still lose their milk money.
