Apple Music expected to grow 40% annually for next three years, drive Services growth
Apple has other income streams that can support Apple Music at low margins. Apple Music does not need to be a knockout. Like Apple Pay, it keeps people in the ecosystem. Spotify's royalties to artists are weak compared to Apple Music. Apple can squeeze Spotify. And it comes under the banner of supporting artists. Spotify is not doomed, but I would bet on Apple Music, esp with their decent growth.

Thank good. How hugely I hate that "log in with Facebook" option, seen on so many websites. Adding to the Zuckerberg Stasi file on me? No thanks.

If Apple wants to use conflict materials sourced from shithole countries that use slave labor then they should do it so that our products are a little cheaper and Apple can get more profit. Yes, but this seems organized. They also may ship the devices to a country where the serial numbers don't matter and a much higher per-unit price can be had (to offset the shipping costs). Even if they do get away with it in the short term, Apple and authorities will likely not let it go, just like we saw with a Romanian gang stealing iPhones off the back of a moving truck like it's a Fast and Furious movie.
