Second class action suit surrounding Apple's throttling of iPhones with depleted batteries...
As a lawyer this lawsuit is on shaky grounds as it stands and I am pretty confident any litigator worth their salt could successfully defend this and probably get it thrown out. While Apple may be guilty of a lack of transparency, they certainly did not do anything to force anybody to "buy a new phone." My iPhone 5S (and iPod Nano for that mater) work fine but the iPod battery is definitely not as strong as it once was but that is only common sense, something that is often lacking in these class action suits.

Rumor: Apple latest bidder for Formula 1 race series
As a long time F1 fan I agree that Formula E would make more sense for Apple than F1. Despite the gas guzzling comment from one of the members, F1 engines are the most efficient petrol powered engines currently developed (both from a gas consumption and thermal efficiency point of view) but getting involved in F1 makes no sense in the context of their Project Titan activities. Perhaps sponsoring an FE team might make more sense if they want to dip their toes in this world. -

Cook, other Apple execs open up on company's future in extensive '60 Minutes' feature
jonl said:I fail to see what Apple got out of this. Tim Cook had several uncomfortable squirmy body language moments, and they actually showed the Foxconn nets.
If it was a fluff piece people would have been bitching. I thought Tim Cook came across quite well. The fact that he is willing to answer uncomfortable questions is a refreshing change. He appears to be an open and forthright business leader and a good human being.Apple is not pure as snow but when it comes to corporate responsibility they do more than most.
