  • Former Facebook employees detail impact of Apple's upcoming anti-tracking privacy feature

I know what IDFA is, but IDKFA adds the keys to the mix so I don't know why more people don't opt for that.

More seriously, I get what the engineers are saying and I agree with the first poster that it's a way of providing advertisers a better idea of how their advertising is influencing people. That said, it's a consumer's right to say "no, I'm not letting you into my mindset and methodology." Just because I'm probably going to let Facebook do their thing across all my devices doesn't mean I don't think everyone else shouldn't be given the option to not let them do their thing on theirs.

  • Apple offers fix to avoid Swiss scrutiny over Apple Pay's interruption of rival payment ap...

So from my experiences using Twint, it's basically Swiss AliPay, in that it's directly connected to your bank account, and you can either directly pay people (like Apple Pay Cash) or scan QR codes (for POS devices and presumably anything with a Twint-based QR code on it?). My thought is along the lines of Brisance: Switzerland, like a lot of Europe, has a POS device that both contains an NFC reader and displays the QR code on the payment screen, within proximity of the NFC field. I'm definitely curious about how they'll address the issue from a technical point of view.

  • Glucose sensor app said to be first third-party title to access Apple iPhone's NFC

I used the FSL for two weeks and was quite happy with the results, if I've since gone back to finger-sticking (my condition isn't so bad that I absolutely needed CGM, but there was a moment of worry and for a long, dark time I was extremely careless about monitoring).  Unfortunately I haven't done the two together so I can't say for certain how accurate it was, but for my own/my diabetician's purposes, it was effective.  Having this information recorded in Apple Health automatically without requiring a separate device would have been the cherry on top, even if people might have looked at me weird for tapping my underarm with my phone.

  • tvOS App Store gains 'Not on this Apple TV' category

Anyone else read the phrasing as, "there's no way you're putting that app on this Apple TV!"?
