Oppenheimer: Apple 'lacks the courage to lead the next generation of innovation'
AI, cloud services, and messaging. With a neural network API in iOS, collaborative work through apps in iCloud (not to mention option to put your home directory in iCloud), and a messages app opening up to third party extensions, to me it looks like Apple is working all three of these areas (and I'm sure there's much more in each one available to a diligent researcher. I'm just a casual observer). Does Oppenheimer have specifics about his vision of the innovative future (that Apple looks like it is already shaping) or is he just spouting buzzwords?

Here, knowledge can be a good thing, if you can process it: India has ~650,000 villages across 29 states (and an additional 7 'territories'). The "villages" don't include the nearly 500 cities where 350M people live. This latter group will be the first set of consumers that are Apple's target market. -
President-elect Trump considers potential Apple manufacturing in US a 'real achievement'
Manufacturing engineers. Of the one million people making iPhones, how many of them are manufacturing engineers? In the ten years time that one billion iPhones have been built, let's say a couple hundred thousand manufacturing engineers have been trained. Maybe Donald Trump will be so kind as to get his magic pixie want and go around rural Pennsylvania and Austin Texas, and Janesville Wisconsin and say "Ding! You're a manufacturing engineer!! Go forth and build iPhones in the USA". So easy.
