  • Apple isn't doomed because it didn't release new Macs and iPads at WWDC

And McDonald gross margin? 48 percent. Yet seldom hear complaints about Big Mac prices. Yes, the flagship iPhone may pinch the purse but there’s loads of cheaper models. What’s the five year cost for the 5s? Almost like a Happy Meal, so to speak.
This is great.  McDonalds has 48 percent gross margin vs Apple's 38 percent.  McDonalds has 24 percent profit margin vs Apple's 22.  A Happy Meal costs $2.99 (2017 dollars) and includes a toy.  A 5S (mine anyway) amortized over 5 years thus can be paid for by foregoing 267 Happy Meals (and their toys, but don't forget you do get free apps with the iPhone).  🍸😹

  • Class action claims all Apple Watches are defective

OMG my iPhone has the same problem! Its design is DESIGNED to be DEFECTIVE!  That little hole where the plug goes in?  The Apple iPhone case is designed to funnel little bits of LINT RIGHT INTO THE CHARGING HOLE.  They build up and WRECK it so you HAVE TO GET A NEW PHONE. AAPL knew or should have known they had to supply a little plastic plug bit to keep that from happening.  AND THEY DIDN'T DO IT.  Alert the MacAlope.  And don't forget to Qi-charge your phone.  Bzzzht!

  • Apple-focused analyst Ming-Chi Kuo leaves KGI

If MCK's supply chain connections are worth anything they will be conveyed to some other analyst and the rumors will continue.  However, information sources of this type have a tendency to dry up or get stale, as the industry changes week by week.

Let us pause to imagine what the biggest surprise might be in forthcoming Apple products and services.  I don't think it is something an analyst can tell us.  They are always thinking in terms of the next quarter, using as information products and market information from the most recent quarter.  This is too short a time frame to provide context for the kind of change Apple is capable to bring.  The question is, will Apple do it?

  • Apple stops signing iOS 11.2.6 amid deluge of iOS 11.3 bug reports

I found it wiggles my screen in a funny transitory way.  I nevernoticed it before the update
