To those in favor of this penalty, do you somehow think that by Apple paying more taxes you will pay less? If so, I'd like some of what you've been smoking.

Perhaps you feel Apple has too much money and should spread the wealth. Who do you think is going to pay the bill for higher corporate taxes? Apple? Not hardly. It'll be paid for by the consumer in the form of higher prices for Apple products. So, if you're an Apple customer, you're essentially asking to pay more in taxes yourself. Great plan.

I used Apple Pay (Visa) more during a recent one-week trip to Australia than I have in the U.S. in almost a full year. 

Worked in New Zealand also, to the apparent surprise of some of the merchants there. 

More significantly, Apple was far-and-away #1 in profits, earning more than the next two companies (JPMorgan Chase & Berkshire Hathaway) combined.

Great that other tech companies are stepping up to defend Apple's position - rightfully so - but where are the other organizations that have as much to lose if the government gets its way? I'm talking to you, banks. And you, health providers. And you, universities. Speak up.
