  • Apple reportedly cuts iPhone 12 mini production amid tepid demand

“Tepid” demand in Apple world.  Any other mobile manufacturer would bleed to sell as many for any of their lines.

very happy with mine. Just what I was waiting for.
Apple is targeting output at around 75 million iPhone units for the first half of 2021, down 20% from December 2020, the report says.
is that all? Why should anyone be surprised that orders decline 20% after the launch quarter? These chaps are stock manipulating.
    Right??

Ugh it's ridiculous these "forecasts" of sales.

iPhone 12 mini is the best size there is. One user mentioned and I agree with him:  Apple should make a mini Pro, and actually, what I would really love is if they go back to their roots and start making 4" phones again.

If the iPhone 12 Mini is even a little smaller than the current SE, I'll be ecstatic, and online to order one ASAP.

  • Evidence growing for Tuesday 'iPad Air 4' launch

The “Air” nomenclature has to go awaaay

it doesn’t fit the “classes” for Apple products. Either that or Apple needs to launch an iPhone Air and iPod Air

I’m ready for an iPhone Air. I still miss the slimness and the lightness of my iPhone 6. They have been slowly getting thicker and bulkier ever since, despite the courageous sacrifice of the headphone jack.

I’m also a fan of of the rounded back of the iPad Pro from a few years ago—it feels good in the hands. But Apple seems to alternate between the flat and the rounded edges, so I imagine they’ll be back again.

You know what I REALLY, REALLY, ,REALLY wanted from Apple related to this?

Bring back iPhone 1 (yes 1) screen size, without the black "chins".   That was the most beautiful design in my opinion and, the most perfect size.  I don't want bigger for my phone, but smaller. The smallest it can get. If I want bigger, I'll use my iPad (well, when I can finally purchase a Pro one).

I wish it was at least an option on the iPhone line. But money seems to talk stronger at Apple now. not the tools us, their loyal and biggest fans want. I really thought Apple was above being "all about money" when I moved from PCs to Apple almost 20 years ago. It was so refreshing and that what made me fall in love with the company.

When they started to axing the Apple Server and the Airport line, it's clear that doesn't apply to them anymore. Instead of improving those tools that we still need (make server + power efficient, cloud capable and Apple silicon compatible)  and the make the Airport fastest wireless network available (aren't we supposed to be moving to a wire free environment, Apple? Sure, where's your solutions for that? What, third party products? Essh), they decided to remove them because they didn't bring enough money, even though I'm sure it was enough to cover manufacturing and development of every single one of them.

Ugh pardon me. there's so much more to say but I guess this is not the place.

    Cheers!

  • Steve Jobs emails reveal why iOS users can't buy Kindle books

I miss the old Apple. I feel Cook lacks the backbone Steve had. Android would have been a wasteland had Steve still been alive. Android has become large due to stealing, stealing, stealing.
I miss the old Apple, but not because of this.

I miss the attention to the finest detail on OX X (macOS). All versions of OS X were perfected with each interaction, all hardwire to that point it was all fully compatible - and you had all the tools out of the box. What happened to iWeb? Try to make a website now on macOS, out of the box. IT's awful. And try to connect iPod version 1 (yes the first one, I have it) in macOS Catalina. Better yet, try to connect s freaking iPhone 4 and restore it using Finder. It's a pain.

But who cares if Android is stealing, and getting bigger or not... I, for one, got tired of this 'rivalry' in tech - Google is awful, and the best we can do about its to ignore it, even if they are a shameful copy. Just don't give them the attention, they will get hurt by that..  Apple should be worried about the old day's quality control, not the competition. Apple is where it s now because of quality and attention used to give to Pro users - the ones that hang on to the company even when it was on a brick to bankrupt.

It seems Apple forgot about them - and can only focus on the consumer market now. Yeah money money money. Too bad.

iPhone PRO is not the answer for us, pro users. That was a joke to excuse a higher price, Giving the elite pro users a 11,000 MacPro is not the answer either. Fuck Apple for that.

    And I'm a Apple fan.
