McDonald's parodies Jony Ive Apple design videos in promo for 'the STRAW'
It's a fantastic ad for the following reason... McDonalds is already a parody of itself and its products are crap, the so called 'parody' of Ive who is actually really easy to parody well, is parodied in a really cringing way, like a primary schooler might do. Therefore being a crap parody advertising crap food means McDonalds has nailed it. -

Apple to oppose 'Right to Repair' legislation in Nebraska, report says
AppleInsider said:
Apple has gone so far as to develop proprietary screws to thwart unauthorized repairs.
People are forever complaining about being 'locked out' of their phones due to proprietary screws but a complete set of screwdrivers for iPhone 4 to 5 is available on eBay for $2. -
Australian banks eliminate fee demands, focus legal assault on opening up Apple Pay NFC te...
Why is it that when I make an ATM deduction from a bank that is not my bank I get charged $2. Oh that's right because the big 4 banks have a deal to charge each other's customers the fee. They make $billions on their other shenanigans but still they persist with this. Banks crying about Apple stopping competition FFS they surely are having a larf.@iushnt1 said:My friend who is living in Australia said that he got an Android becauae of the contactless payment system that his bank is offering. Currently, he is not ready to sacrifice it for any other device.
In Australia people with this problem are changing their bank to ANZ. Somehow the way the other big three banks are making excuses and outright bollox remind me of The Donald's modus operandi. -
What should you buy: Apple's BeatsX vs. AirPods
cesco said:Come on Apple, give us AirBuds next!
I can't believe they didn't do that. When walking in the city if I use in ear buds even if I'm not listening to anything just to block out the cacophony. I had an idea some time ago of a product that was a faux pair of in ear ear-phones with fake wires coming out that you could feed under your shirt so it looked like a pair of headphones but was in fact simply a set of ear plugs that didn't make you look like a dork with ear plugs.
However now that Apple has made it OK to walk around looking like a dork anyway with their air pods, I am more excited than ever of marketing the concept of simple ear plugs that are designed to resemble high end wireless buds.
