I don’t even bother to check out games on the App Store anymore. It seems that 99% of them are freemium anyway, where you pay for those in-app purchases. I tried going that route but the costs just built up too much. Which is great for developers but not my bank account! I miss the days when you could purchase a quality game outright on the App Store, there used to be some great ones! Also as mentioned in this article, this freemium dross doesn’t take full advantage of the latest iPhone and iPads graphics capabilities either. 

My biggest disappointment concerning the 8 Plus when I got it was the rear camera image quality, which was poorer than I was expecting, especially at high magnification, where a water color effect was much more noticeable than on my previous 5S. As well as image quality in low-light especially on video where there was noticeable noise that I didn’t have on the 5S. On the other hand, the 8 Plus’s telephoto lens has proved very useful to me and was the main reason I upgraded in the first place. I think I actually use it more in photography than the standard lens. A reason I wish it had the OIS of the X at that magnification. I had a look at an XR at a local Apple store, to me it was noticeably thicker than my 8 Plus, too thick for my liking.

It hasn’t been overtly unfriendly either. Apple’s iPhone cameras usually just lag behind Samsung’s and Google’s offerings in quality. It’s been that way for a few generations of iPhones now. When the 8 Plus first came out, DxO gave it a very high score, which from my experience of that model (I’m posting this comment with it right now) was actually undeserved!

A very good article! Without the overt Apple fanboying and putting down of other companies in competition with Apple for once.

If you want good security stick with Apple’s stock interface. If you to tinker with customization with a little less security there’s Android. Jailbreaking on an iPhone is very niche and an irresponsible thing to do.
