Zuma launches combined AirPlay 2 smart speaker and ceiling light
^ I really hate you guys, you peed on this before I even had chance to enjoy the idea's for few minutes.
We're building a new house and I have been struggling how best to deal with whole home audio, we talked about homepod everywhere but Apple killed off the original and small one is no where as good as original, I looked at speakers everywhere connected to one or multiply atv via an amplifier and speaker matrix, there is a speaker matrix that supports airplay 2 but it's costly. Then we did not want speaker grills all over our house, this would have been good idea, but as it was pointed out, what about power, and it is probably not good light or speaker.
Now homekit the lights and airplay 2 the speakers this could work. -

Apple says Epic Games demands threaten iOS app security, privacy, quality
For all those who think Developers win if Epic when, think again. First it will be appealed, thus the reason Apple Lawyer brought up the Qualcomm case. Lower judges really do not want to be over turned in a higher court especially if there is precedence. Judged do get rated on how many cases they preside over which are over turned.
In reality most developers who are complaining most do not realize how things were done in the past and the cost to distribute software. Do they really think another store can do what Apple does at a lower costs and only charge 10%, think again, there are lots of costs to facilitate a transaction between the developer and consumer. It is not as easy as of setting up an FTP server and direct consumers to download something. As it was also pointed out Apple gives developers lots of free tool to manage all of this. I know developers pay yearly fee to be developers, but it small compared to what it would cost if you have to make all your own tools.
Also, the government can not force Apple to provide the technology they use to run their store which maintain all the security. Keeping with the car analogies, it would be like some knockoff part company going to the courts or government demanding Ford or any car company provide trade secrets so they can make an knockoff part. It there is no precedence for something like this. Epic does not want to create a store they just want a lower commission for themselves.

Epic CEO Tim Sweeney grilled on platform agreements, V-Bucks
Using this guys argument that he was okay paying a 30% commission to consoled suppliers since their business model was sell hardware at loss and having to make it up elsewhere and is okay giving more to a losing business model. Using this logic then all printer paper companies should have charge inkjet printer users more since the manufacturers also sold hardware at loss and tried making up loses with selling ink. Consumers should be happy giving charity to the paper companies since they saved on the hardware.
Honestly, I am beginning to think this guy is tool, or a useful idiot to make an issue out of nothings since he seem to think he is doing this for everyone else benefit. There has been talk for a long time about governments looking into Apple's market dominance. But it hard to say Apple is monopoly when you only have less then 50% of the market share which Apple has pointed out time and time again. What they really hate is the fact Apple is still taking massive profits even with their small share of the market.
The only argument going on here is that Apple has monopoly over its own platform and some how this is really bad.
