  • Microsoft Windows 10X reportedly paused to focus on Windows 10 enhancements

After the M1 power bombed everyone in the legacy Wintel world, Microsoft announced that they had started working on their own custom ARM chip.
Not surprised that many Windows projects are being relegated to the back burner.

  • MacBook Air redesign will include iMac-like color options, leaker claims

Since the new iMac no longer has the Apple Logo on it, will the new MacBooks no longer have them?
The iMac still has the Apple logo on it. It's on the back just like MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
Oh I know it’s still on the back but will it be removed from the back since they’ve taken it off the front of the new iMac and gone all Pastel colors? Which by the way is heinous!
Huh? Will they remove the logo from the back because the removed it from the front? No. How do I know that? Because they removed the logo from the front and don’t remove from the  back.
Well, you never know. It could happen. They’ve already gone with hideous colors for the iMacs and took the Apple logo off the front. Why not do the same on the new MacBooks? Why not remove all Apple logos from all products and go heinous pastels for the colors?

Pastel colored AirPods, Pastel colored Apple Watches etc….
Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, that is some lazyass trolling. Why take the time to create an account if you aren't going to put in the effort? Trolling aint easy and we have had some really good ones come through. We have high expectations when it comes to the quality of trolling here in the AI comments section. At this point you are embarrassing yourself to the extent that we all feel uncomfortable on your behalf.
I don't care what some "trolls" may say about colours but they completely missed the classic silver iMac. If they don't like those other colours then there's always the classic silver. But like you implied, ranting is easier than thinking.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm waiting for the upcoming 16" MacBook Pros. I do have the feeling however that our only options would be silver or space grey. Hope I'm wrong.

I was disappointed when I didn’t see a redesign debut for M1 MacBooks.

I’d like to also see cellular but I take it that won’t be ready until Apple finishes developing their own from the Intel acquisition.
Due to how Qualcomm license their cellular I.P. I doubt we will have see MacBooks with cellular built in. If Apple was resistant to paying 5% of the price an iPhone to Qualcomm I doubt they would want to pay 5% of a product that has a higher ASP especially when the feature is in no way critical to the device itself.
Quite honestly someone will have to explain to me the logic in charging a percentage of the whole device for a piece of equipment.
    Thought experiment:
iPhone SE: $500 price tag therefore Qualcomm charges $25 for the modem.
iPhone 12 Pro: $1000 price tag, therefore Qualcomm charges $50 for same modem?

  • Apple's iMac predicted to overtake HP and lead the All-in-One market

The 24" iMac won't be a big seller.  Limited ports, limited storage, limited RAM, and not exactly attractive colors...and that white bezel.  Ugh.  It is a stop-gap machine.  The chip shortage has had a huge impact so Apple decided to use an M1 in an iMac to satisfy people.  The 21.5" with upgraded graphics is faster than the M1s integrated graphics.  And the 27" iMac smokes the M1 with the 10-core i9 and upgraded graphics.  People have been waiting for the 'second generation' Apple Silicon to fill in the gaps missing in the M1, but nothing in sight for the replacement 16" MacBook Pro or 27" iMac.  It is odd that not long ago, people were complaining that Apple was still shipping Macs with 8 and 16GB RAM, and now suddenly they all claim 8 and 16GB is the best thing ever.  Look how fast M1 MacBooks appeared in the refurb store because they were customer returns.

People will skip this first generation iMac and wait for something better, that is not so limited in features.
    Limited ports
Please stop with this limited ports nonsense. Thunderbolt 3 is the fastest and most versatile connector in the industry today. You can daisy chain, another monitor, to another disk array, to whatever else your heart desires and not miss a beat.

     limited RAM
Yes it goes up to 16GB for an entry level machine. How is that a problem?

the 27" iMac smokes the M1 with the 10-core i9 and upgraded graphics
Smokes it at what? In making the fans spin at full speed? Every benchmark I've seen shows that entry level M1 holds its own against Intel's or AMD's desktop silicon. It also does with less power and hence quieter.
If you want to see tests check this from a couple of former AI contributors.
Or check some of his videos (Linus Tech Tips) and he's not exactly your Apple fanboy.

all claim 8 and 16GB is the best thing ever
Nobody ever claimed that here. Citations please. In fact many of us are waiting for WWDC to see what the next generation Apple Silicon brings to the table. Many of us are waiting for more RAM.

Those MacBook knockoffs run Windows though. It’s like bragging about a Ferrari with a Moped engine.

P.S. realized it wasn’t YET ANOTHER anti-Apple video and you were defending M1.
I know that Linus has a flare for the dramatic but even he admits that MS and the PC industry in general dropped the ball on the ARM transition. They were treating it more as a curiosity rather than a roadmap.
