China adds to government pressure on Apple over iPhone slowdowns
kkqd1337 said:Does this battery issue apply to iPads too? Surely it does.
This also explains why Samsung’s phablets along with throttling from the get go don’t necessarily suffer from the same problems at the same rate. This isn’t some magical technology that only Samsung uses. -
Steve Jobs unveiled the MacBook Air - and Apple's future - 10 years ago today
For those of you longing for Steve’s days while blasting today’s MB, remember what he stood for, minimalism and simplicity.
This is what the MB represents even with its one port. A port that serves multiple purposes, something that MagSafe doesn’t.
I understand that today’s MB may not be a product for you, however this does not mean it’s useless for everyone.
Think of it as for those needing the simplicity of an iPad but in a Mac OS form factor. -

I haven’t seen it yet but I read somewhere that IKEA has an app where you can try out furniture inside your own house to see how they fit before actually going to the store to buy it.
Or an online reading glasses retailer now has a special app for iPhone X to place the glasses on your face before you order them.
Very useful cases, depending on how they work, of AR.

Law firm that extracted $450M settlement in Apple e-books case is going after company for ...
We’ve seen many opinions flow on the web about this case with a wide array of opinions.
In the end, just like the e-book case it’s the lawyers who will come out as the winners.
In an older John Gruber podcast, I believe he mentioned that he was mailed $5 compensation for having purchased books from iBooks. He was having a good laugh.
If any of these cases are won by the vultures/lawyers, I wonder how much the common folk will get back? I doubt it’s going to be anywhere near the price of an iPhone, even a used one.
