Peter Thiel says 'age of Apple' at its end

I don't use it so much on the high street because my preferred credit card doesn't yet support it, but I've used it a few times with another card that does and it's pretty amazing.
I wonder how much Apple is turning over from it, do they break it out in their financials at all? Even if it's not making a significant profit, it's a fantastic implementation, -
CEO Tim Cook's compensation cut by $1.5M following Apple's 2016 decline in sales

But I feel more sorry for all of us who got a failed watch, delayed air pods, no more displays or airports, cancelled car, a 4 year old iPhone case design and a MBP with no ports and the wrong battery. I don't know what Tim's issue has been but I have faith he can turn it around this year, last year he made a lot of failed promises, this year I hope his actions speak louder than his words. Learning to type and use a Mac would be a great start, even just touching or holding a Mac at a keynote, that would make us happy.
Only by comparing Apple watch market-share versus the entire rest of the industry (Fitbit + Garmin + Samsung +...) can its success be minimized. In terms of revenu only Rolex makes more. Failed my a$$
2) Delayed AirPods. OK but only slightly. We'll have a pretty good idea by April how well they're doing. I'm willing to bet they'll have more $$$ sold than the entire MS Surface line for the same period.
3) Cancelled car? For something to be cancelled, it has to first be in production or at the very least announced. You know something like the MS Courrier.
4) A four year old iPhone case design. And in the meantime they added nothing to the iPhone? No new technology? Change for the sake of change? Is that your great idea?
5) A MBP with no ports? Really? Thunderbolt 3 capable of driving a 5K monitor and several USB3 peripherals including power for your MBP all through the same cable, is a non port in your opinion? And there are 4 of those.
Want something real to complain about? Try this.
1) 5GB iCloud default storage. They could and should do better than that.
2) 1 year limited warranty on Apple products. Even on $3000+ MBP's. Come on! -

What reason do they have for not updating it for 3 years and not reducing the price? If Apple doesn't want to be in the pro market then discontinue the product. Same thing with the router business. Those products are woefully out of date. Either update them or kill them. But it does call into question why Apple seems to be struggling from a bandwith perspective. Other than the iPhone - which they have no choice but to update every year at the same time - it seems like it's a struggle to get stuff out the door. Is Apple's functional org structure hurting them? Would things be different if there was one person responsible for the Mac and nothing else?
The Xeon E5 has been refreshed twice since 2013. Although the refreshes were not dramatic if you compare the same core count (12 core vs 12 core), the updated Xeon E5v4 maxes out at 22 cores where as the E5v2 that Apple is using maxes out at 12 cores. With Apple's poor decision to rip out a whole processor for the sake of smallness set them behind right from the start, you would think they would be more vigilant to keep up with core counts when a processor is available. For those of us that require cores, a 22 core is a significant leap over 12. The 44 core systems utilizing 2 CPU's that competitors are selling make the MacPro look like cruel joke.
Since they did not change the pricing throughout the past 3 years, even if the E5 was not refreshed by intel (which as I explained above that it was), there were major advancements in GPU's, IO, SSD's that they could have easily slowly refreshed in that time. An update does not need to be dramatic with much fanfare. If they would have simply kept up with current tech on a $10k computer, we would have bought several throughout the last couple of years. The blatant ignoring of the product, with no price drops to compensate for the lower costs they are paying for old tech, has made us buy none. This has turned our once happy to be using Apple products company frustrated and angry beyond belief.
Would it have been wise to upgrade the machine with Thunderbolt 2 technology only to re-upgrade it a year later with Thunderbolt 3?
Just asking. -
Apple shareholder's meeting scheduled for Feb 28, nine proposals to be voted on

Apple should've been neutral during the election, in anticipation of it going either way. Now Tim has a tougher go of it trying to play catchup with an administration that is opposed to 90% of Apple's bleeding heart Progressive rubbish.
First off most of Republican congressmen and senators were against Trump from the get go. You think they'll be playing catch up?
Do you also think that every other bleeding heart progressive CEO who was invited to sit down with Trump will also be playing catch up?
Fact is they all have to work together, the administration with congress/senate, tech companies etc and they with it. No one's closing the door on any one here. -

After using them for a few hours I realized how wires used to get in the way or tug at my ears every time I'd zip up my coat and go out. Absolutely love them.
The traditional EarPods alway fit my ears and AirPods are not any different for me. In fact I feel that they fit better than my EarPods. I can't see why they would fall out while running, when spring rolls around.
As for working out I can't help you there, sorry. I'm member at a Crossfit box and they're very noisy places and dangerous for electronic devices such as expensive iPhones.
