  • iPhone 15 Pro models will not have solid-state buttons, shareholder letter confirms

I’m glad it’ll have physical buttons.
I had an iPhone case that the buttons were so small I could not tell where they were. It doesn’t seem like that would matter, but many many times that I would try to adjust the volume it would end up activating the emergency alarm and I’d be scrambling to shut it down before it called 911.
After way too many times doing that I switched back to a case that I could feel the buttons, and it never happened again.
If they were solid state buttons, flush with the phone, that would be a terrible problem. They would have thousands upon thousands of false emergency calls.

  • Apple making the case that Apple Silicon Mac & iPhone are great gaming machines

Apple wrecked the entire mobile gaming experience with in app purchases and ads. It’s useful sometimes to unlock a full game, but it’s mainly misused to trick kids into many many micro purchases.
Some games don’t even let you play for one second without begging you to pay “only” $3.99 to unlock a box of points or a different outfit for your stupid character.
Or “only” $6.99 to unlock a bigger piggy bank. And sadly that’s only the very tip of the iceberg. The “upgrades” never end. And at the end of the day kids only end up with hundreds of dollars of “upgrades” for some game that is quickly becoming outdated and will soon lose their interest.

  • Spyware firm NSO Group could be acquired by US defense contractor

Any company that would be interested in buying the NSO group is obviously even more evil and immoral.

  • T-Mobile will share subscriber data with ad partners - unless you opt-out

You should see how difficult they make it to opt out. You have to send them a picture of your drivers license, plus another picture of your self just because, plus other forms of “verification that’s it’s really you”. It’s not just a setting you can change by simply logging into your account (which by the way should already be enough verification). They have really turned to the dark side.
