  • Latest Alton Brown cookbook features food photos shot entirely on Apple's iPhone 6s Plus

But but but no one ever does anything productive on an iPhone.

  • Recall of dangerous Samsung Galaxy Note 7 yields a half-million exchanges in US

People will continue to blindly purchase Samsung devices, ignorant to the business practices of that company.
Exactly. Some if the android sites such as Android Central are saying that the number if affected units has been over exaggerated and that Samsung should be praised for the way the dealt with the recall. They are even saying the GN7 is still the best phone if 2016.

So now we'll know how many notes were sold.
I read somewhere that they had sold about 380 thousand in the US. This might explain why some new N7s are on sale rather than being offered as replacement units. Some of the 500 thousand units are obviously replacing the carriers unsold stock.

What, exactly, were the 'significant' improvements of the GN7 as opposed to the GN6... its 'explosive' speed? It doesn't have any 3DTouch copy, it doesn't use PowerVR, it doesn't have pressure-sensitivity for the Spen, does it?
There was no GN6.  Europe didn't even get the GN5.

  • Apple holds onto second place in slightly increased global smartphone market

This ain't 2010-2012 anymore guys! The reality is that apple isn't and won;t ever sell as many iPhones as they used to. I've been using iPhones since 2008 but considering getting another phone. I had a 5s that died on me 7-8 months after buying and a 6S plus that died in less then 5 months. Unacceptable considering how expensive these phones are. Just out of curiosity couple of days ago I held a beaten up Note 3 in my hand. Can't believe this is a 3 years old freakin phone that looks great, high resolution screen that covers most front of the phone without wasting real estate around like the iPhones, good feel in the hand pretty fast, 3 GB of ram, widgets, customization etc. The chinese also are making pretty decent phones for much less not to mention samy who's making those gorgeous ones. This is not $900 vs $100 or BMW vs crap comparison as some have suggested around here without even holding one of those 'cheap' phones in their hand.

I presume you just took your faulty iPhones to your nearest Apple shop for a replacement unit.  Where would you go about getting your cheap Chinese copies replaced?
