Around the world Apple is currently being investigated in 8 different antitrust investigations, has already been found guilty of antitrust violations for their iBooks Store in the US, and in 2019 lost a Supreme Court ruling on how the App Store is run (Apple v. Pepper). Epic may be self-serving, but most developers I know agree that Epic is on the right side of this and are hoping that Epic wins. Self-serving or not, they're on the side of the developers. The big question is really if anti-trust legislation will force Apple to change before the lawsuit is even decided.

Amidst the rumors I have realized the only electronic thing I own that I like and use more than my iPhone are my Bose noise cancelling headphones. And I routinely swap them to use on my MBP and PS4, so the wire's staying.. I guess my phone is gonna have to change =(

This article seems pretty far off base.. there is no "Apple Music" app on the iPhone. There is a Apple Music section of the 'Music' app. Since Nielson uses surveys to calculate app usage (they can't place trackers in Apple's apps), the 54.5M number is probably people who use the Music app on their phone and has nothing at all to do with "Apple Music" the service.
