An iMac Pro update would make sense because the whole point of that model was to show pros that Apple still cared about them, and it would need to be regularly updated to carry that message.

I wish Apple would be a bit more aggressive about moving the Mac to ARM. I have been through processor transitions with Apple before and they were not painful.

Perhaps they are waiting until the ARM processors are fast enough not just to run desktop apps (which they probably already are) but also to run a Rosetta style Intel emulator.

I agree, but is that realistic? For the tools to verify a repair to the system, and for the system to trust them, they must have some kind of private key and you can't open source that.

The iPhone and the Apple Watch are updated together and the iPad and Mac are updated together. Apple thinks tablet will eventually replace computer and watch will eventually replace phone?

When I saw the photo I thought those were exactly the ports I would want on a dock, but then I went to their website and its only DisplayPort 1.2.
