Apple touts Cupertino public works investments ahead of employer tax vote

Where is Apple's innovative iPad, MacBook Pro hardware to rival Microsoft's Surface?

Surface is less than 1/10 the revenue, very little profit if any, and has minimal impact on anything. It doesn't really matter if Surface has a small audience, because Windows as a whole is such a big platform, it's not necessary for every device to be a mass product.I actually admire companies that try new things whether they ultimately flop or not. Microsoft mainly has business customers anyway and those new Surface whiteboards have potential in conference rooms. -
Fortnite at 5K? Testing out the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar & Blackmagic eGPU
I'm pretty happy with my BlackMagic eGPU. As the video points out, its extremely quiet even when the video card is maxed out.One issue I have found is that it suffers from capacitor/coil whine. So as I do different things on my laptop that cause variations in power draw (such as dragging a bright white window on to a dark screen) different high pitched sounds will emanate from the unit. And because the unit is otherwise so quiet, its quite distracting. But there is an easy fix, just plug your original MBP power supply in to another Thunderbolt port and the Mac will favor that over the Blackmagic, causing the Blackmagic cable to become purely a data cable, and the squealing and squeaking will stop.
