Did Apple also remove the apps from people's iPhones, or do they get to keep the app if they already downloaded it?

I was potentially interested, but I looked at the company's Privacy Policy and it's 20 pages long and basically says, "we take all the information we can from your computer, combine it with other data we obtain about you from other many sources, use it for 'any purpose' and/or sell it to anyone who wants to buy it." This is why I buy software only from the Apple App store.
