The EU has now learned that when it makes any demands, of any type, hardware or software, even against user privacy and security, Apple will capitulate.

I would feel very frustrated with wired CarPlay only.

Even worse, in a Honda CR-V, you have to plug one end of the USB cable in a very hard to see & hard to reach spot. First, I have to strain to look for the location of the cable, then I put the cable in my hand and reach into the compartment, completely unable to see if my hand is close to the USB port. My compartment is loaded with junk, so I feel like Willie in the Temple of Doom movie reaching into the unknown, worried about bugs attaching to my hand.

During the introduction of the iPhone, I recall Steve Jobs saying something like, "If we can grab just 10% of the smartphone business, it will be successful." Ironically, it's the Mac that's grabbing only 10% of the personal computer business, and it's still successful.

Apple's Foundation and For All Mankind are mostly in space. This one sounds like it's barely in space.

The final book in Foundation's canon has them "discovering Earth." I hope the series makes it that far.

Is anyone going to make a plastic case to protect the device while it's in use?
