  • Internal Apple communications show debate, uncertainty about 'right to repair'

Apple’s stance on ‘Right to Repair’ is indisputably corrupt. I’m not surprised there is a revolt in the company. Even the hardcore cult cheerleading fanboi’s here should condemn Apple for this.
The story of Linus Tech with their iMac Pro should be a wake up call to everyone.
Apple has no right even being in the business when a stuck key from dust is an insanely wasteful $900 repair.
There is never a need to engineer products that can’t be repaired - outside of insatiable greed for profits.

  • Why the Mac's migration to Apple Silicon is bigger than ARM

but it suggests that new Apple Silicon Macs will not be struggling to keep up with the graphics on Intel Macs.”

That would be nice - but seems extremely dependent on programs being optimized. The anemic library of titles will probably shrink even further - at least until there is market saturation.

Mac users will be stuck using dumbed down iOS software for a long time I feel.
After all - This is the motivation isn’t it? Eventually have just 1 OS that can be modded to facilitate the device.

  • Components for first Apple Silicon Macs will cost Apple more, says Kuo

(Analysts seemingly forget that when enumerating all of the included hardware, Apple's devices are competitively priced, especially in the Pro range.)

    Waaaaa?
Dude... not even close. Not even close. That’s before even taking into account Apple’s built in obsolescence by gluing everything down and having to buy gobs of external peripherals with hubs and adapters and proprietary cables.

Apple was competitive up to about 2012 - but has screamed away since.
Apple’s announcement yesterday officially makes the Mac Pro the worst investment in computer history.

  • Initial failures of Apple's butterfly keyboard doomed it from the start

I think you missed the main point - $800 to fix a fleck of dust under a key.
It was a total 100% complete failure of industrial design. Nothing should ever be designed that way.
It’s like designing a car that requires $23,000 to fix a flat tire because they connected it to the engine - and the tires go flat if they get a pebble in the tread.

  • Everything known about the 'iPhone 12'

If they keep with recent pricing models, it will cost $4199 and the charger will be an extra $399. Will require a special proprietary pointy object to open sim tray that costs $99. Special proprietary cloth to clean the screen will be $199. Earbuds sold separately.
