MS lacks the real intention to make something good and useful.
Its intentions are aimed at marketing and stem from a managers culture.
Its a lot easier to spread FUD about others than to make something new and useful at the same time.
I find the switch to use Android very strange and qua timing absolutely wrong because Apples ARM processors this year will make Intel weep for the rest of their existence.
ARM processors even from other vendors have more than enough oomph to run Windows.
So why didn't they try to hasten that instead of using Android?

General safety comes to mind. Autonomous vehicles have various sensors but lights still help illuminate signs they can read, and inform bears, dogs, cats, and countless other animals, as well as humans and other vehicles outside the vehicle of quiet mass of several thousand pounds that's barreling down a highway that it's approaching.

Inside the vehicle it would be unveiling right now to drive without any lights on. There are still plenty of idiots that believe autonomous system with hundreds of sensors and dozens of computers - each of which can fail constantly, monitoring it's own surrounding, each with training data from other autonomous vehicles around them of which god knows what is ‘learned’ and unreliable GPS (which lane I am on?) can determine the best possible action at all times.
