Developers will have a hard time getting App Store users to buy directly
This feels a lot like a business that strikes it rich in California, then relocates to avoid state taxes, refusing to pay for the infrastructure and systems that enabled its success. When something supports your rise, it’s only right to support it in return. Is Apple and the App Store really so different?

Apple cites bevy of scared users to back up its case against the EU DMA
So if someone you know in Europe downloads malware that can infect their phone, then it’s safe to assume that (from and within their device) your contact info, the emails you send them, the texts you send them, the photos you send them, the things you say if you’re near them, and your voice and image are all on the table for somehow being captured maliciously. Or am I being overly dramatic here? -
Apple's 'Ask' project may be far more than just an AI-assisted support tool
I personally am getting more and more terrified of how AI is going to be weaponized. Additionally, every non-tech person I talk to has WAY less enthusiasm for it than these AI articles would have you believe. It appears Apple is being cautious and deliberate in its development and deployment of their AI which I am 1000% for. Give the people something within the ecosystem that is safe, useful, non-nefarious and easy to use (ie. all the news in your Apple News feed can be AI checked so you know it's not completely fake). It's going to be very troubling dAIys outside the walled garden so please give us a feeling (and hopefully also a reality) of safety inside it. -
Decade-old Apple Car project may be completely dead
I wonder how much of the R&D that went into developing the car spilled over into the AVP. Hopefully a good amount of the developed car AI finds its way into other products too. I can't imagine all of the car R&D is siloed and now just goes poof. In any event, welcome news. Get those engineers and R&D funds redirected and focused on to other things.
