  • US Department of Justice files motion to force Apple to crack terrorist's iPhone

The irony here is that this case throws the bu!!sh!t flag in the face of the NSA who's been quietly telling the world that they have everyone's data already.  If that were literally the case, the FBI could walk over to the NSA and get everything they wanted without the phone at all.  This obviously isn't the case, so the NSA isn't doing what people thought they were
You don't get do you? They absolutely can crack the phone with the NSA. The whole point of this exercise is that the circumstances presented the US government the perfect opportunity to set a precedent to force companies to defeat the security and privacy features of the products they manufacture. The government realizes the NSA can't keep up forever so this is their golden opportunity to mitigate that future scenario.

  • TSMC reportedly sole supplier of next-gen 'iPhone 7' A-series chip

They already won the contract for the Snapdragon 820. Sounds to me like the capacity Apple left has already been filled.
That's funny. All that capacity to make 820s for what?  The next big thing from Samsung that nobody is going to buy.

  • Apple Stores reportedly stall growth at top US shopping malls

    buzdots said:

Apple subsequently used its proven ability to draw in customers to negotiate favorable lease rates for flagship properties and mall outlets. Pure sales are not the only benefit of having an in-mall Apple Store, as the outlets have become destination stores for many shoppers, generating sizable increases in foot traffic.

I would say old Sandeep should thank his lucky stars that Apple has chosen to grace 47 of his malls with their presence.
Having visited dozens of malls, in multiple states, I now judge the quality of any particular mall by whether they are able to attract Apple retail.

I have yet to see a venue where Apples market research and demographics has failed.
Better yet he should cancel Apple's leases so he can replace them with one of his preferred "high growth" tenants.  Then he won't have to remove Apple sales figures any more to make sense of his growth charts.

  • Apple to fold iTunes Radio into Apple Music, make Beats 1 lone free-to-stream product

Very bad idea. It won't get me to join Apple Music. It gets me back to Pandora along with millions of others. The greed factor is starting to cloud Apples judgment.
