    eSIMs are a big PITA!

    They are not a convenience for the user. They are a cost savings and convenience for the carrier. Period.  While I appreciate the sentiment in this article and of those that favor eSIM over physical SIMs, the grief I had to go through with 2 different iPhone 14 Pro Max devices to get the physical SIM to pass to them was NOT the experience I wanted or needed.  Even the folks over at the Verizon Store had issues getting my phone activated and had said that they had all sorts of issues with eSIMs after Christmas 2022.

    I much prefer a physical SIM that I can swap in and out at my discretion on an unlocked device.
