Great for them and I hope they do well, but for me at $1980 I'd take iPad mini and an iPhone XR with money saved.

The tools to develop an app cost as well should apple give developers a free mac as well so they can get off their feet and running? I get it that there are ”barriers to entry” to develop an app, but if you're serious then it shouldn't be that big a deal. -

Report says iPad mini 2 no but iPad mini 3 yes aren't they the same other than touch id added for the mini 3 or am I mistaken?

Only in modern age can we imply a phone is old ish when it was only released in October and its March. As others have said their Geekbench score seems flawed since it’s lower than I’ve ever seen on mine and others running the A12 chip. -
